Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Hmmm very interested to see what you think about it after you give it a spin mate.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
yeah i wont buy it till i get your review
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Ordered this ages ago at hmv.co.uk (only £8.99 delivered) but no delivery yet - 'On special order with our suppliers' wtf there are a ton of copies in my local HMV store!
I have GU29 to listen to first though at least
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
this cd is the shit. loving the lexicon avenue mix(the reason i bought it), haven't finished seaman's mix yet as it is in the car, but it is pretty kick ass too(mixing is very smooth). the lexicon disc starts kinda funky house then goes into what you would expect from them(a little dark and thumping), phat ass can be.I really like the track Cubic-Superflyin', mix really takes off from there. it will be welded to the cd player for sometime. i decided i would order this before GU29, and i think i probally made the right decision. I will order Dubai today though. this cd is totally worth the money. go buy it now. i fact superflyin' just came in on the stereo(can't sit still now).....
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
However the soundbytes I have heard from juno DON'T sound very good, but I'm sure it will be okay. Seaman has to do a lot to top Masters vol 7 for me.........................
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
I can not steal this. These are good men. Good men they are.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
seaman's disc is almost a little too electro-y sounding to me. i still like it though. the mixing on it is incredible, really could not hear the transition from one track to the next. now the Lexicon Avenue disc is worth the money on its own.excellent stuff. can't sit still when it is playing, totally moves my ass.

Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
where did you order it from. is it in stores in the US?
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
no, i ordered it form Juno records in the UK. not release in the US yet. Juno is fuckin fast though, order monday morning and you will have it tuesday morning(if you pick Fedex shipping, and they can find you house:roll:) this is worth picking up in my opinion.

Listening to the Lexicon Av mix now and wow it is NICE
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
better than GU 29 Dubai, by far.

I'll have to check Juno, I just hope the fedex option doesn't break the bank.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
it is always 5 pounds extra, which is about $10 or so.not too bad to have it there in ONE day from the UK.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
am i the only person sitting in front of the speakers as this plays? the lex ave mix is SHIT! i heard the first 2 tracks and wanted to throwup. so i skipped ahead a couple minutes to see if it improved and it got worse. then i skipped ahead some more minutes and it reached a level of "suck" previously unknown to mankind. i mean,,, wasn't Rej a popular track back in 3 FUCKING YEARS AGO?????? i used to love lex ave's mixes, as they were filled with tons of fucked up basslines and tribalesque feelings. now it seems they are also on the 'rej' bandwagon. FUCK FUCK FUCK!@!@!!!!@@@!!! i mean its a cool song and all, but seriously it sounds sooooooo dated right now. im even drunk and i hate his cd.
is there anyone who maintains any level of originality any more ??
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
what's rej? don't remember anything like that...haven't heard the mix yet
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
JC, as soon as you hear rej, you will understand my disgust.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Lex Ave's Nite:Life CD was good enough. Ain't listened to Therapy Sessions Vol.3 and after reading Jib's comments I feel I've probably bought another dud (after GU029).
Whatever happened to decent CD compilations...

I personally think it?s a great track and Ame are awesome, but I agree, it has become so overplayed that I think even my grandmother knows it by now...seriously, every wannabe DJ out there who wants to look and "hip to the new stuff" plays Rej over here, even in kiddies clubs.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
other then the fact it is "overplayed", i think it is a great track and it is way better then any electro-shite i have heard(which was the majority of music when this first came out). Also, i think this mix is pretty original....makes me shake my ass too.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
ok now i know what that song is and yeah i have heard it and do not like it. It doesn't have anything to it really excepy that stupid melody line. Don't think i'd ever wanna spin that track.
why are so many progressive dj's now turning minimal???
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
i gave up on dave seaman years ago. matter of fact i gave up on most mix cds in general. it is rare i actually buy one (i dont bother stealing them either). dave seamans mixing has always been sublime/perfect but his track selection on the last few mixes makes me want to vomit like... well i think jibgolly painted the picture well
have bought some... diggers renaissance, holden at the controlls, desyn balance (vomit), tripple r - Interkontinental 5 8) ... looking foward to jimmys
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
i am really digging what dave has been doing of recent, he has been playing tracks that sound very futuristic and edgy. All except that last track i can dig on.
everyone has their own opinion and thank God for that...life would be very boring any other way.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Really enjoyed seaman´s mix, I haven´t had time to hear the one from Lexicon Avenue but will give it a good listen today when I come home.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
i think Lex. Ave. mix is really good, not as good as some cds i have, but still i think it was worth the price. Dave's cd is pretty good too, not his best mix(thats GU16), but i think it is still decent(don't like the electro tracks he throws in though). either way, the music is different, and exceeded my expectations. still better then Sharam's new cd.
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
I heard 'Rej' for the first time a few weeks back and was thinking 'wtf?' Why is that it that all the tunes that are so hyped and played by everyone are usually shite? e.g. pryda-aftermath?
And yet you hear some quality tracks in sets and you think 'that one will surely be massive' and it sinks without a trace e.g Kenneth Thomas-Orange Room(Nick Warren Mix)
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Just got my hands on a copy of Dave's cd and I'm not liking it too much, maybe I'll listen to it a little later in the day...
Re: Dave Seaman/Lexicon Avenue Therapy Sessions Vol. 3
Resurrecting this thread as I've finally heard the mix a few times.
Very very disappointed in this. Easily my least favourite Dave Seaman disc, it even beats Therapy Sessions 1 which used to be my least favourite.
I am just not into the sound of 90% of these tracks. I mean tracks 1 & 2 on Dave's disc, what is the point? What happened to tracks with a decent beat, melody and bassline?
The LA mix is better, but only slightly. Good tunes are Caged Baby & Dylan Rhymes, but that's about it.
This one will very likely gather dust on my shelf pretty sharpish...........
