FRISCO, Texas Frisco school trustees aren't renewing the contract of a veteran art teacher who was reprimanded because a student saw a nude sculpture during a museum visit.

Sydney McGee has been on paid administrative leave from Fisher Elementary School since Friday.

McGee's contract runs through the end of the school year.

Board members declined to take questions after their closed meeting tonight. They have previously said there were concerns over McGee's performance.

Her attorney, Rogge Dunn says he would wait for written clarification from the school district to decide how to proceed.

McGee's attorney says the teacher's troubles started after taking 89 students on a school field trip to the Dallas Museum of Art in April. The principal later admonished McGee about the trip, telling her a parent complained about a student seeing nude art.
Allah akbar! Never knew that Texas was a province of Iran... more like what's wrong with the moronic parents in today's society...

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

there is nothing wrong with the parent concerned about children being exposed to things they disagree with.

It is not up to the teacher to decide if something is acceptable for children. It is the choice of the parents.

Several ways to have handled this situation.

 1. "A veteran art teacher" should know that there would have been questionable art.
 2. Should have informed the parents of the possibility.
 3. A permission letter should have been sent home.

Let the parents decide what they want their children exposed to.

The teacher is completely at fault.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder buddy, so is obscenity. Makes me wonder how morally ill some people are these days to find a nude statue offensive. If you're one of those people, I suggest you get some therapy.

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

jesus cowardly, it's the dallas museum of art not tex's all nudie review... and i'm fairly sure the parents knew their children were going on a field trip... to a museum..... of art. of course it only takes one parent out of 89 to ruin things for everyone (the other 88 kid's parents apparently have brains). everyday shit like this gets us closer to the days of burning witches and the like. (even then art was recognized as being art not pornography). i can hear the conversation now.... "what did you see today on your field trip honey?". "we saw paintings, and sculptures. one of the sculptures was old and the person was naked". "What!!! a nude sculpture in a well known museum? My God, your eyes, mind and body have been poisoned by art!".... what a bunch of fucktards...

Oh yeah....

"the tour had been approved by the principal, and the 89 students were accompanied by 4 other teachers, at least 12 parents and a museum docent."

and apparently over the past decade more than half a million students, including about a thousand from other Frisco schools, have toured the museum’s collection of 26,000 works spanning 5,000 years “without a single complaint.”

Whatever.....a teacher has to send home a permission slip and then most likely the parents would have had to pay $10 or something to cover bus and admission. If the parents read the permission slip approving the child to attend the museum, then so be it. Any moron with 1/2 a brain knows an art museum will have some nudity as it is a form of art.

The teacher is far from blame in this situation

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

^^ditto times 1000. there was a permission slip and all the parents consented to the trip. the mere fact the school board or principle won't name the piece of art that offended the one parent speaks volumes imo...

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

The simple fact is that a naked body on display is not art, it is nudity.

nude: adjective 1 having no clothing; naked 2 permiting or featuring full exposure of the body

noun 1 an unclothed human figure; especially an artistic expression 2 the conditin of being unclothed

i am aware that most of the people in the world do not agree with this. That does not change the fact that it is wrong. Humans have taken sexuality (nudity included in there) and turned it into the biggest cesspool of the most vile things that humans can think up and perform.

People do the most vile things to themselves and others in the name of sexuality. There is not right minded person in the world that would think that sexuality and its effects are not a plague to mankind. Rape, and child molestation are effects of sexuality being treated as if it is no big deal.

Do the research for yourself and you will see a common factor between all sexual crimes: the perpetrators had no respect for other peoples sexual wishes, only their own. You will also find another common factor in that nearly all of the perpetrators had some form of pornography in their life be it magazines, movies, internet, strip clubs you name it.

I am sorry for those of you who can not understand the seriousness of the situation involved in alowing any form of sexuality to govern your rational thought. If it were taken more seriously then things like this would not be a problem.

Maybe you should get your research right. The first common factor is just over obvious information. If they wouldn't place their sexual gratification over anything else, they wouldn't commit sex crimes, now would they? And it has been proven that pornography doesn't initiate such behaviour, it just works as a katalysator. Most sex crimes happen because of a psychological illness or abuse during childhood.

But you're right, let's all be ashamed of our own bodies, burn down musea because they only breed rapists. Tell you what, let's burn down the Vatican as well. Have you seen what Michelangelo painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel? A fat cock and a pair of titties...

Oh but wait, that's just a detail... Count the nekid bodies in the following pics of the frescos in the Chapel for me, will you?

Fucking Sodom and Gomora if I follow your reasoning...

Simple question cowardly: if God didn't want us to enjoy sexuality, why then are we (one of) the only creatures that actually enjoy sex???

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

Thanks to cowardly I've now changed my mind... I think it was shameful to let students know what a human body looks like. I now think that all children under the age of 21 should be denied the use of mirrors and be forced to change clothes in the dark. I'm also opposed to allowing pets and farm animals run around stark naked.... seriously. That is why from this day forward I will dress my dogs in appropriate attire, so as to not offend anyone, anywhere at anytime. I should also add that my goldfish looks stunning in his bathing suit.

Cowardly, we've had many a playful banter on various subjects but you belong to a board where tits and ass are as commonplace as stars in the sky.... does that make you a sexual deviant? Do you honestly have thoughts of rape and molestation because of posts on M.S.? I doubt it and I'd be utterly shocked to the core if any serious member here has ever been charged, let alone investigated for a sex crime...

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

fyi the chapels that you posted pics of are not of the one true church that Christ died for. I do not expect you to understand that becaue it takes a dedicated understanding of the New Testament church to know why it is not the "church" of Christ.

So to answer your question the pics Michangelo painted are inappropriate and not a painting you will find anywhere that the Bible is strictly adhered to. Any form of nudity is considered a sin in the Bible, from the day Adam and Eve sinned and realized they were naked and felt shame.

Pornography is a common factor in sex crimes. That is not my opinion it is factual. I do not make up the statistics they are there because they are facts.

ironic how it is a sin that made them cloth themselves and now it is a sin to not be clothed.

Re: US Education: squirt gun last week, plaster tits this week (sfw)

Whoa there sparky...... So you speak of the one "church" Christ died for and an "understanding of the New Testament Church" yet you use the story of Adam and Eve which originally comes from the Torah, which is the true source (Genesis chapters 2,3,4 & 5), and which was later adopted by christianity... (the Old Testament Bible).

But enough of the theological history lesson. So that begs the question.. What, in your opinion, is the one true church Christ died for, and will you quote Matthew in the process? Hmmm....

lol... dude, i love religious discussions... always interested in someone's else's interpretation because that's exactly what it is... their (or someone, some faiths etc) interpretation, not historical theological fact. I do this because when you point out how many times the "bible" has been translated, interpreted, changed etc etc they tend to get bent out of shape... that's not what i'm trying to do to cowardly fyi but just interested in his take as he's very stout in his faith/beliefs... and there's nothing wrong with that, just always interested how people get to where they are.... the journey as it were.

baby dick is a term for the cocks hanging out in old paintings, for some reason, before 1900, no male had a dick longer than 2 inches.

Before that they were cool with nudity, just like God had planned it. In other words: nudity is a-okay in the eyes of God. Burn three.
