It is not up to the teacher to decide if something is acceptable for children. It is the choice of the parents.

Several ways to have handled this situation.

1. "A veteran art teacher" should know that there would have been questionable art.
2. Should have informed the parents of the possibility.
3. A permission letter should have been sent home.

Let the parents decide what they want their children exposed to.

The teacher is completely at fault.

Whatever.....a teacher has to send home a permission slip and then most likely the parents would have had to pay $10 or something to cover bus and admission. If the parents read the permission slip approving the child to attend the museum, then so be it. Any moron with 1/2 a brain knows an art museum will have some nudity as it is a form of art.

The teacher is far from blame in this situation

Thanks to cowardly I've now changed my mind... I think it was shameful to let students know what a human body looks like. I now think that all children under the age of 21 should be denied the use of mirrors and be forced to change clothes in the dark.
