Re: Do you hate your job?
i hate my job. i work in the dining commons here at umass 3 nights a week. it sucks, but its the only thing that fits my class schedule. and i need money to buy beer, cigarettes, and cds
Re: Do you hate your job?
Ive been told you have to do work which you enjoy, but you can only enjoy working in an office to a certian extent, i could think of 100 things i would rather be doing then working. But with that in mind, since i want to go to law school, the legal assistant work i do is not that bad, and my boss is fucking rad.

yes
Re: Do you hate your job?
I love my job. I work in E & S surplus lines insurance and we make a shit load of money. I too get 5% increase every year + bonus. I have over 40 days of paid time off, great benifits. I only work 7.5 hours get a full 1hr lunch (2 hrs really :p ), and I get to be online at least 6.5 hours outta the day. Doing whatever I wanna do.
As long as I keep my work moving flowing and not getting backed up, Im comfortable here.
I get along really well in my Dept. Dont really speak much with other people in other dept's, even though we be cool and all, same with the top floor.
Company events on the year include: Bowling, Golfing, Picnic and X-mas Party.
Its nice.
Re: Do you hate your job?
i hate my job so much it makes my head explode!
Re: Do you hate your job?
from january to may i hate my job, the second half i love it.
Re: Do you hate your job?
I hate my job right now because I have stress without end because of a deadline I must keep but normally I really like it and could not think of doing something else. I face new problems every day so it never gets boring and also the people I work with in my office are pretty cool (for workmates).
Re: Do you hate your job?
hate it when its slow... if its moving bring it
Re: Do you hate your job?
i like my job... wish i was paid more though...
Re: Do you hate your job?
Job? Yes Lorn? Do you love or hate me? Well Lorn, I love you when you leave me alone. I hate you when you are around fucking up my shit. Ah, thanks. I thought so.
Re: Do you hate your job?
I hate my job big time...If I could go back to school I would definatly do something different...I sit in a cube all day and start at Two Monitors....one for each eye....Primarily I am designing and producing roadway plans....I am an outdoor type of person so being stuck indoors and in a cube kills me beyond belief....
Re: Do you hate your job?
I am a graduate trainee for a Housing Association, where I get to spend 6 months in a dept before moving on to a different area of the organisation. It's good because I do something new every 6 months, but there are downsides - I always feel like the new kid, I get to enjoy a role then I have to wind down and start again.
However hopefully at the end of the scheme in a year I will get to pick which one I liekd the most and apply for a job in it. Currently in the finance dept and I'm loving it, I love number work!
However out of 80 women (and only 8 men) in my building only 1 is decent and she is almost married. Nothing to stare at at all!
Re: Do you hate your job?

I love my job since I got my own business on the road (I have an authority problem). I love my clients' backwardness that they actually willing to pay me what I'm charging them. I hate my clients' employees who are even more backward, but whom I have to work with. I hate the state for busting my balls with all the paperwork they shove down my throat.
Salad Tosser?
lookin' for one? watcha payin'?
Re: Do you hate your job?
love the job, pay is crap though
So, in the meantime, I'm reading and studying on ways to get my own side ventures going...which would complement perfectly.
Re: Do you hate your job?
Job rocks, pay is great. Have no problem with people I work with as I hire everyone. Love the fact that I am in control of the drug screening!!
Uh, yeah . . . of course everyone here is clean:roll:
Re: Do you hate your job?
There used to be a member of staff who made work unbearable but when I quit I made sure to take her down with me :D

Re: Do you hate your job?
I love my job! I'm my own boss and I get to decide who I'm gonna work with. I deal with investments. The money is excellent! Usualy I work 6 hrs 4-5 days a week! Since I have a knowledge of a neurolinguistic programming I can quite easily "manipulate" my clients towards their best decision - dont get me wrong I'm doing good for them and they usualy love me for that (if they even realize what they have done  - the majority has no clue about shares anyway ...)
Re: Do you hate your job?
My job was pretty good, although a lot of people would just hate it. I was a financial analyst at a big pharma company. So, it was a cube and computer job...but one where I had unique US-wide responsibilities, which kept things interesting. That made it good and bad...pay was great, hours sometimes sucked, people were great, pressure sometimes could suck... It did let me feed a serious weekly record shopping binge.
Now I'm back in b school, studying my ass off so that I can do more along the same lines, but for even more money.
money money money. gimme gimme gimme!

Re: Do you hate your job?
My day job is the randomest thing in the entire world. I was temping in NYC to afford living and DJing here and after hitting rock bottom and literally being about to move back to Boston a girl at one of my gigs asked me when my next show was and I told her there probably wouldn't be one because I was broke and my temp agencies weren't doing shit. She told me she actually worked for a temp agency and since she wanted to hear me play again and not leave nyc she'd get me some work-even if it was "bland." She called me a day later apologizing because the only thing she had for me was something no one at her company wanted to give out because of how bland it was. It was data entry in the facilities department at Ann Taylor (for those who don’t know, Ann Taylor is an upscale women’s clothing retailer powerhouse). I almost said no because I still had a shred of thinking that I was better than doing certain shit-but then realized I was in debt to every friend I knew and was living off of one slice of pizza a day and water…so I took it. Data entry basically wasn’t that bad because I could listen to headphones all day and go through tracks. Long story short I now work as an Asst Manager in the facilities dept in Ann Taylor managing the facilities for about 300 midwest and westcoast stores but since I started the headphone shit as a temp nobody gives me shit about it. I listen to music all day and run the facility shit through the internet. It’s an awesome job for me because of the headphone thing and it pays alright. I don’t hate my job but I cannot wait to do music full time. Whore. Balls.

Re: Do you hate your job?
I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate my job!!
It is my "in the meantime" job as I just finished school and I am still looking for something in my field. I need $ though so I took this call center job and I hate every waking minute of it. I swore I would never work in a call center at the capacity of answering the phones and here I am :(
Re: Do you hate your job?
I did hate my job up until about 2 weeks ago when I left it for an unpaid internship to finish the requirements of my grad program. What I'm doing now is definately more rewarding and interesting, but I have no form of income so I'm going to have to go back to waiting tables or living off of student loans for a little.
Re: Do you hate your job?
I get to listen to my music the whole day, turn up the volume after work. Surf the net, open all the NSFW threads 'cos I sit in a corner, watch anime when I'm free, download sets. I enjoy my job when it's busy. The line of work I'm in, being free is a very bad sign. My colleagues are interesting and hilarious, brainstorming is fun, writing can be fun ... but execution is a drag because you see your 'eureka moment' being dragged into the gutter by half-assed clients. Oh, and my immediate boss has a bad habit of stepping in when it's too late, and fucking everything up half an hour before meeting the clients. He also gets drunk during lunch and sleeps it off when he gets back to the office. Twat.

I used to hate my job, but last month I was given a new role doing as a project lead doing IT work. now I work from home 4-5 days a week (at my leisure), and am starting to get the swing of things. it's getting better
Re: Do you hate your job?
^ that's where its at. i like getting away from home during the day, but telecommuting would definitely be sweet. fuck office life.

yeah, it's not bad but I do need to get out of the house once in a while. Friday I went in to the office for the first time in two weeks because I was getting tired of sitting at home nonstop. You get so much more work done when you don't have anybody calling you or stopping by your desk every 5 minutes. it's amazing.
