is there any way i can call an "end" function or something similar when burning from a cue sheet?

i want to burn the amazing danny howells sets, but i've only got 74 min cd's.

Is there any way i could do the following eg:

Track 14 Audio Index 01 68:04:00 END @ 73:59:00

as each time i try to burn i get chucked an error as the cd's not big enough. :?

not sure. there is a closing phase a cd ... if you are going to try that, give it a little less, like 73 or even less then that. I am not sure if that will work or not, but at least you could try.

Let us know if it works or not. And also how many cds you trashed ...

Open the file in a sound editor and reduce the speed by 1%

if you use iTunes you can put and end marker wherever you want and put as much as you can fit on the cd

Just buy 80 min cds then you will have no problem burning it then.

:Naughty: Well i guess if you can't send a whole .25 on a cd you can all ways over burn it. But come on just go out and pick up a 100 pack for $25.00 at sams club or wally world 8)

If you use Nero, you can just choose "properties" for the last track, go to "Indexes, Limit, Split" and set it to end when you want.

If using Nero you can overburn. Just slow your burn speed down a bit. How long is the set? You should be easily able to get another 3 to 4 minutes if you burn it slow.

if you have a cd player that plays mp3's you can burn it to cd as data. most dvd players read mp3 cd's. and a lot of the new portable walkman cd players read mp3 discs too.

i didnt take into account that NOT EVERYONE uses the same discs i use. so when i edited this howells set for [ms] i did it so they'd be perfect for 80 minute discs.

also, there are plenty of free editors on the web. you could always cut the set up, to your liking.

good luck.

74 min overburns will not reach 80 minutes....

so you either have to trim the sets a bit, or get 80 min. CD's

(74 min CD-R? you're using pretty old school stuff now :ROFLMAO: )

Re:: burn 80 min set on 74 min cd?
Open the file in a sound editor and reduce the speed by 1%
80 mins * 0.01 = 0.8 min 0.8*60sec = 48 Seconds

That means, if you want to reduce the time from 80 mins to 74 mins then you have to pitch it down to actually 7.5% (!) (6mins/80mins * 100%)

Just to make that clear... ;)
