Hernan played from 12:30-3 and John played from 3-6. Both djs played great sets, but I must say that I enjoyed John's set a bit more than Hernan's. It was my first time seeing JD live and I have to say it was pretty phenomenal; the mixing was perfect (he used his ipod too) and every track was bangin. Can't wait to see him again.:D I'll put up a few pics later on.

have had the chance of seeing hernan & diggers playing both together 3 times in 3 consecutive decembers here in buenos aires... and each time was greater than the previous one... hernan always playing before diggers... doing incredibles warm ups and then diggers rocking the place from his first tune.

hopefully, we'll have them again next december.

And to answer the previous query about the ipod...after he mixed like 2 songs he had some tech guy move the turntables up so he could have room for it and plugged it into the mixer and the turntable (I have no idea why/what for so if anyone is tech savy please shed some light on this! Also its not visible in any pics, unfortunately.) But overall a killer night. Hopefully I'll dig up some more photos/ID a few more tracks as I get to see John again when he comes to Niagara Falls, Ontario!

It''s probably that sampler that he uses ... can't recall what it's called exactly but I reckon it works similar to the EFX series, and Digweed uses it for those lush transitions I guess.

Also, Digweeds records about every set on a small Philips mp3 recording device.

How does it happen that benny benassti got to close the Guv instead of any of the other 4 that played in Guv that night, is beyond me. Digweed was on fire, from start till finish. Actually surprised at the space in the Guv, compared to the Kool Haus and how it usually is, complete madness all night, but nothing compared to the Drum n Bass room capacity, WOW. Not as many sketchy people (asian's) as i have seen in the past neither. The one way traffic shit that happens pisses me off also. At the end of the night people were jacking bottles of booze from behind the bar in the DNB room for sometime, until a bouncer put a stop to that. Overall good night, just sad that i'll be missing Ben Watt in TO on Thursday, and on Friday in Montreal, for i dont live there.

I got in late (12:30, right at the start of Hernan's set!) after waiting in line for 45 minutes and I didnt dare miss any of Hernan or John (I was front row for about an hour of his set!). After seeing them play though I was tired as hell, so I sat around and heard a part of Benassi's set which wasnt bad (Didnt relly feel like checking out DnB or Trance that night even though I heard Andy C and Ferry Corsten were good).

JD with Luke Fair as the opener I believe is coming to Niagara Falls, Canada on September 20th (thats a Wednesday, wtf! 15$ all at the door as there are no advance tickets available) Check out [url]www.dragonflynightclub.com[/url] for details...I heard a dress code is going to be in effect, sigh.

It was an awesome night and Hernan and John killed it! I didn't leave the Guv at all to check out the other rooms and stayed front and left to the stage which was pretty roomy most of the night.Got to meet Luke Fair and chat for a minute....super nice guy he is! Unfortunately I missed his set due to not getting there early enough. I thought that if I left at 10:30pm to go to the club, I'd catch Luke's set no problem.....WRONG! But I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Dragonfly if I can find a shuttle bus service from T.O to Niagara Falls or a group of people going! So who's going?

I have been to the club a few times....they are pretty relaxed on wednesdays...i wear jeans, t shirt and running shoes...still presentable...this dress code is mainly for the weekends when it is top 40 crap...as long as you are not looking like a bum....you will get in....

and there is underground parking that i have never paid for...pull into the front of the casino as you are going for vallet parking and you will see signs "for self parking" to the left...follow them and you should be fine

FIgures....I was just in Toronto visiting my sister wondering if any good DJ's would be coming to Guvernment. Sucks that I missed it. I have been dying to see John since Icon in Orlando, and I cant even remember how many years ago.

I'll post the pics & vids from our time there, when I get the chance. Was an absolutely ridiculous evening of music. Luke (not sure if it was the event, or what) has made some amazing changes to his style of tunes. He was easily the highlight of the night for me, and that's saying alot, all things considered.

Cattaneo flattened the place afterwards, and i'm pretty sure that there aren't words in the English dictionary to describe what Digweed played. I can tell you that Stephan Bozdin's 'Tron' is probably the most badass record in existence right now. Sounds unbelieveable played out. Esp. on a system as loud as the one at the Guv.

Night closed out with Addy, a local T.O. DJ & an amazing one at that (kind of a cross between Behrouz & Faarsheed) rocking Skybar till about 9:30am. All in all, this was a solid night.

Hernan never disappoints, and the last 2 x times I've seen Diggers (Pacha'05 and Space'06) have been simply awesome. Can't wait to catch him with Howells in Manchester soon.
