Could anyone recommend some clubs in New York that 2 girls (good friends of mine there for a month) from California might like, for any reason you can think of...thanks guys.

ive never been to NYC but from all the reviews i've seen on Cielo its the coolest venue up there right now. seems like the $$$

Try Marquee - nice, upscale place with decent house music.

Cielo is good. LOVE you have to catch on a good night, but when it's good... WOW. Marquee is for people that want to hang out with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton but to be honest, I've never been there. I've passed by it zillions of times and the crowd looks horrible. You should go to Crobar just for the sake of going. Avalon is closing down soon.

kk, the biggies are crobar, spirit and pacha. eh, you go when they get a good DJ, the crowds are annoying.

BED is fucking awesome as well when they have someone like desyen or burrige.\

small venues,,, and these are the best IMHO. cielo is wicked, a bit more upscale clientele, and atmosphere.

sullivan room is right there as well, but far more chill out, bar style than club, the floor is tiny, with seating everywhere. great people, you will never see a fight there. great bar, no waits, super cool doorman. (one of only 3 in NYC)

LOVE. the coolest spot. poto discovered this gem. ill give him the credit. you can walk in here at 3 am, in a pair of shorts and a tank top, and listen to the likes of lisle, romero, fortier, etc etc till the very very wee hours. bartenders are a little lacking in the fact that they need more than 2 most times. but the bar is easy accessible.

there are a ton more posh places that host great DJ's here and there. but i dont wanna be in dress pants, collared dress shirt and black shoes listening to porter and q6.

Definitely check out Bed if they have a good DJ in town. The place overlooks the NY skyline...amazing view @ night!

i mean really...who turns down a $10 sasha party on a wednesday night that started at 6pm with no opener to a limited crowd of 150 people?? you don't say no to things like this...sasha loves nyc & i love him...

I would never, that'd be sacreledge as far as I'm concerned!

When I was in N.Y almost 2 years ago now, we had a great time at Crobar. Nice, friendly staff at the door and bar as well as the security. It was spacious and dark and was packed with a crowd that was very ready and up for Sasha and Digweed. One of my most fun nights out.
