Hey peeps,

Going on vacation back to my original country Algeria, and the traffic in summer is just horrible due to all the immigrants coming back for summer vacation with their cars that adds to the actual crazy traffic existing already. This will mean that I will be spending alot of hours (litterly some trips inside the capital Algiers could take you up to 2 hours for like 15 kms:( ) waiting inside the car, so please resuest some good chillout CDs that I can get for this trip to aviod all the hassel and screaming with the other drivers  . PS:currently listening to S&D's Norten Exposure I and man this is the first one i'am taking.

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

Digital Witchcraft-"Featured Artist"- a nice chill set. I think you can get it on hybridized.org

Someone asked this same question before and was referred to chillhouse.ch and were told to pick up sets-chill #4, and chill#5. Both of these sets are awesome downtempo sets.

also the first part of zabiela's 5 part promo from last year was awesome it's in the promo section or something on MS

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

This isn't necessarily a mix cd, but one of my all time fav downtempo cd's is Global Communication's 76:14. Also Kruder and Dorfmeister's K+D Sessions 2xCD is a great downtempo mix.

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

Moshic sounds good Jib but wouldn't it sound more on the darker side than chillout ???

#685813Post 9 of 52

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

imo thats a very melodical and uplifting musical journey. there's a couple parts in that disc that give me chills. certainly worthy of a listen in the car in thick traffic.

Boards of Canada - if you're into something a bit more experimental Prefuse 73 & Dabrye - if you like cut up hip hop samples Lusine - he's got a full length out on Ghostly International and if you like the Kruder & Dorfmeister stuff, check out Tosca...it's one of the guys (I forget which one) collab-ing with someone else...

Especially in a dark room with no other sounds! 8)

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

yeah space is a good cd. technically not KLF... it was produced originally by jimmy cauty and alex paterson and paterson's contributions were apparantly left out of the released version. it was originally intended to be the orb's debut album. fact of the day.

#689043Post 39 of 52

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

Yep, knew that...would have been cool to hear alex patterson's stuff with it though. I wonder how that would have changed it?

Re: Requesting some good chillout CDs

GU Afterhours is a decent disc

you can't go wrong with Northern Exposure 1 though - especially disc 1

Try and pick up cusick's kiss fm set from 2001, brilliant
