actually i am going to this...but have never heard of them....what do they sound like? there is also a very attactive female dj playing at the cigar bar.....as well as dj muggles at the lobby for after the jannis show.

Colloborative hip-hop, with kind of an old school feel. A bit jazzy, too. Really great stuff, IMO. I'm going to see them in St. Louis here in a little bit myself.

Chali 2na's got one of the best voices in rap -- immediately recognizable, and just smoove...

theyre an awesome live show. especially when numark and cut chemist battle it out on the decks. really fun group to see if you can stand wading through the hippies.

I saw them in st louis 4 or so years ago at a raves and they were fucking horrible. they just killed the dj vibe, and the party. it went from packed to dead in 15 minutes... eeeeveryone left. i won't be caught at one of their parties.

hmmm i just did a sample listen to there music on amazon....sounded pretty kool to me....its a hip hop style, sure as hell didnt sound F'in Horrible to me....and i am the negative one around here??

If your at Jannis when you leave the venue turn right go half a block to Detroit Liguors make another right and that is 1st ave north...its another half block up the street....

Also there is a huge block party on 1st ave north today too....they allow you to pound beers in the street....so might be a good way to get a little toasty b4 the jurassic gig....

I couldn't imagine J5 in that sort of setting. I bet there were completely out of place.

A la carte, though, they're one of the best and most innovative hip hop groups around. Totally different from most of what gets played on the radio.

...my bad, by the time i got back to the stage after grabbing a few beers in the back bar-it was solid packed. i went back over to the same area and couldnt find you. it was so crowded by that time i ended up standing sorta off to the side

went out after words to...didnt see anybody at the cigar bar so i didnt stay there....ended up at the lobby for the rest of the night....

that was one incredibe show.... i think i danced more there than i have at most regular dance shows....

those guys were phoenominal...i was really impressed.

one of my favorite parts was that solo dj part....that guy is amazing...that is real dj'in imo. that takes loads of talent to pull of that type of scratching/mixing on the tables.

hell yeah.....great show...no one that i was with wanted to go out after the show...we were all sooo worn down from dancin all night...you're right, i havent danced that much in a long time either...good shit :)

Just saw these guys last night in St. Louis. Wow -- what a show!! For a smaller venue-type show, this will go down as one of the all-time best I've seen, period. Take them in if ever you get the opportunity...

hell yeah...they blew my mind to....slammin beats and just super talented rappers....i was truly amazed...best hip hop i have ever seen or heard period.
