How sad...
As for best mix CDs, this is my list: Chris Fortier - Balance 007 Digweed - GU Sydney Sasha - GU San Francisco Eddie Richards - Fabric 16 Adam Beyer - Fabric 22 Luke Fair - OS 3
It's funny how many old GUs are on people's lists...where did they go wrong?
man ur lucky!! some one stood on my origonal copy of northern exposure 1 and i havnt been able to buy it on cd ( have it on vinyl ), i can get and have bought the american import but its only a 1 cd package and it sounds like its been mixed by only digweed...if anyone knows where i w3ould be able to get a copy of it can they please let me know
DONT THEY HAVE EBAY WHERE YOU COME FROM ???????????????
Re: Best Mixed Cd Ever
Ive never understood this whole disc 1 disc 2 thing. When ever i play a CD, live set, essential mix, mixtape or anything else, I always start at the beginning and play it till the end. But i always think of it a One hole mix.
When disc 1 finishes i put disc 2 on, when disc 2 finishes on to CD 3 and so on. To me when one disc finishes its on to the next part. The same as turning a mix tape over.
Maybe its an age thing is i used to buy albums on vinyl years ago and you had side 1 and side 2 you'd get about 6 tracks then you would have to flip it over. To me it is 1 album not 2
I always liked Dave Seaman's Awakenings CD and Tenaglia's GU London for the way they've added the effects or samples at the end of disc 1 that continue into the beginning of disc 2 to make it seem more like one mix.
Re: Best Mixed Cd Ever

Oops.. Thanks for the correction. Yeah Disc 2 was the standout disc. I recall listening to that disc for the first time with a few good friends over some beers and it was just mind-boggling in terms of track selection and programming.
Re: Best Mixed Cd Ever
Listed to Hernan Catteneo's Renaissance thanks to this thread, as well as Paolo Mojo's Balance cds'...soo good, thanks for the heads up!8) It's just too difficult to really give adaquate time to listen to everything.

Burridge's 24:7
Balance 005 is way overrated, me thinks
Re: Best Mixed Cd Ever
A lot of multi-disc sets have bifurcated themes on each disc. Like Day / Night or Club / Afterhours kind of thing. It makes sense to think of those as separate works. In other circumstances, I would agree with you. Depends on intent.
