I am trying to get my hands on the yoshiesque Cds by Deep Dish , just wondering which ones are worth listening to, the 1st or the 2nd?

and yes to confirm what was being said in another post , I lost all the respect for them when they released the track with that Zebra bitch P Diddy and the day I went to see Budfire in a little club here and the guy has the worst personality ever, Fuck him.

Deep Dish Yoshiesque 2 is definately worth listening to. Two CD's of smooth mixes in that one and only Deep Dish style. :Bingo: And I have to agree with everyone else, get Deep Dish Renaissance, it absolutely F@#$@ rocks. One of my favourite mixes of all time. It always brings a smile to my face.

Re:: Which yoshiesque DeppDish CD is worth listening to ?

Both are well worth getting imo, especially the 1st one - stunning stuff. Far, far better than their GU efforts...

#240793Post 13 of 45

Deep Dish is one of my favorites. If you have to choose one. Get yoshiesque 2!

Re:: Which yoshiesque DeppDish CD is worth listening to ?

Both are a-must-have. I like the atmosphere of the 2nd one - very relaxing. Be quick to get your copy?s - as I hear is React no more.

#240814Post 16 of 45

Depends on what you prefer.Yoshi 1 is class house music,i was really surprised by how good it was-i hardly heard any other dj's play those tunes at the time.Yoshi 2 was a bit too laid back for me,but disc 2 was good.

Renaissance Ibiza was a bit more proggy, especially disc 2,which i loved. And as someone said, they are all far better than their GU efforts

#240815Post 17 of 45

I love both!! If I had to choose it'd be yoshiesque 2...but it's a close call. I say get one of them and go back and get the other one as soon as you can! They're definately quality discs!

#240820Post 18 of 45

i definitley prefer the 2nd, I bought the vinyl pack also which is very cool

Re:: Which yoshiesque DeppDish CD is worth listening to ?

( for people who met the Deep Dish ) Do you think that Dubfire has a shit attitude or was it just that night because trying to take a pic with him was as if he was doing us a favour while Sharam was much much nicer.

#240830Post 20 of 45

I've met both of them a quite a few occasions at gigs and they were always really really nice. They gave my friend a t-shirt last year at Ultra. My friend was coming in the backstage gates (for artists and employees) and they were giving Deep Dish a hard time (plus they were running late and needed to get onstage). My friend was like are you kidding me? These guys are Deep Dish and they probably need to get on stage. The girl looked at them and was like alright fine. He gave my friend a t-shirt before they ran off. I thought it was pretty cool. Maybe Dubfire was just having a bad night...I've found both of them to be pretty nice, but we all have our off days.

Yep...that's my fave also. :GameOn:

#240848Post 22 of 45

which is east and which is west? i always just thought of them as 1&2 (yellow being 1, green being 2)

#240849Post 23 of 45

the 2nd one has east and west instead of 1 and 2 it says on the cds...i think west is 1

#240856Post 24 of 45

ah

i dont have the store bought versions :Who:

YOSHIESQUE TWO DISC ONE ("WESTCOAST") DISC TWO ("EASTCOAST")

#240931Post 27 of 45

Re:: Which yoshiesque DeppDish CD is worth listening to ?

I took Yoshi 2 with me on a trip to Oz....happy days 8) yep the 1st disc is chilled but if I wanted more uptempo tunes I just put the 2nd cd on :D Definitely worth a purchase.

#240945Post 28 of 45

i've been impressed with almost all of Deep Dish's commercially released mixes...

but i would def0 say the West Coast disc is my favorite...

it's just so damn smooooth...

#240947Post 29 of 45

^ 5/5 in your opinion? :P

#240981Post 30 of 45

Personally I reallly like both but if you have to make a choice go with #2, definitely the better of the two.

#241031Post 31 of 45

West Coast is my fave, too. That one is like a hot tub with a very sexy chick in it waiting for me. Or something alike.

#241266Post 32 of 45

Yosh 1 is far superior to the second one in my opinion. Deep Dish are amazing house DJs but extremely average Prog DJs. Stick to the house boys!

#241321Post 33 of 45

Re:: Which yoshiesque DeppDish CD is worth listening to ?

Fuck both yoshiesque albums. What you need to peep is there Renaissance album. Now that's the shit.

#241324Post 34 of 45

^ its good, but yoshiesque's are better imo. gu's arent great. junk science is good.

#241612Post 35 of 45
^ its good, but yoshiesque's are better imo. gu's arent great. junk science is good.
I agree, I would place them in this order of quality: Yosh1 Renaissance Ibiza Yosh2 .. .. Global Underground

#241615Post 36 of 45

I would say

 1. Renaissance Ibiza
 2. GU Moscow
 3. Yoshi 2
 4. One Nation Under House (1st & best yoshitoshi label mix)
 5. GU Toronto
 6. Yoshi 1

and I should know been listening to them for years know, always been my favourite act, djs, produces, remixers and my first piece of vinyl I bought was 'Giv me love', about 9 years ago!!!!!!!!

#241620Post 37 of 45

ibiza is fantastic, however I really could not get into either of global underground releases
