Right so i'm back off to Tokyo at the end of August for work again.

obviously its work, so busy during the day, but anyone know of any good nights out, clubs or restaurants.

last time i went, there wasnt any decent dj's at Womb. and i havent got a clue of any of the other clubs.

i'm staying in shibuya, so relativelty local is good!

remind me after the holidays. back at the beginning of sept
Hmmm, little inconsistancy?

Re: Tokyo

i go off on 3 weeks holiday, come back to work for 2 days, then go to tokyo.

my work trip, basically entails shopping. - the joys of working in the fashion business. we call it research.

it basically means i get a paid holiday, business class, but dont get to see any of the culture of Japan. just shops, shops, shops.

there is some cool shit, but i would love to see the tokyo.

Re: Tokyo

I caught Tiefschwarz at Womb when I was last in Tokyo... what an aweeeeeeeeesome club - those multiple lasers are the best visuals I've ever seen. The people were all so damn friendly too.. I'd definitely go back.

Me = love Japan :)

Re: Tokyo

Always wanted to go there - but wanted to tie it in with a club appearance by Sasha, Diggers or Hernan. I trust you will be sushi'ing it up - if you like cooking the Japanese do some amazing kitchen knifes (I bought a cracker over the net that is samurai sword sharp). Isn't Club Yellow in Tokyo too ?

Going to Japan for the first time. I got lucky because Mr. Paolo Mojo will be spinning the Saturday I'm going.

Unfortunately, I hear drinks there can be quite costly.

Re: Tokyo

you're staying in my fav district of tokyo. shibuya is awesome. i can never get sick of that place. womb has always been regarded as the best in terms of sound and amenities... i've never been there but then i haven't been clubbing in japan a whole lot either since you'd pretty much have to pull an all nighter and wait for the first train home unless you get lucky and get to stay in nearby districts (your case for example). ageha, located near odaiba is supposed to be the largest and also is heralded by DJs. as you get closer to your travel date, def check out the respective clubs' websites to see if they have the DJ lineup you're interested in. i've also had a great time before at spacelab yellow, which is in nishi (west) azabu - just get off at the roppongi station on the subway and start walking towards shibuya. the azabu district is right in between shibuya and roppongi and yellow is in this alley right before this major intersection with lots of highway overpasses snaking above your head. i love clubbing in japan b/c you don't have the pretentious she-she vibe... you can always walk in w/ a tee, jeans, and sneaks to your favorite mega club. (fwiw, clubbing in seoul is fun too if you ever go there).

as for other clubs in tokyo, there's code in shinjuku, velfarre in roppongi (a long time running commercial club but shuts down at 1am shrug), and if you want the "everyday" clubs that play cheezy radio dance or hiphop, there's atom and club asia in shibuya too. and then there are a whole bunch of cheezy, sleezy clubs/bars in roppongi. just get off at the subway and you will be met immediately by either a bunch of japanese girls promoting for some lounge/club/bar or some african guys doing the same (these guys will speak english but don't expect them to have dj knowledge). you don't have to go to their places but at least you can strike up a nice conversation to ask about the hot spots. but since you're on this forum, your best bets are probably womb, yellow, or ageha. have fun!
