So I stumbled upon this video from Desyn Masiello @ Pacha Buenos Aires, what do you think about his track selection here? He's def. a risk taker, which I like.

Re: cheesy or cool?

he is a risk taker. that is a something i respect. but i often like half his sets cause he plays some borderline shite. here i think its crap imo. fair play to him, i am not into most of his sets tho.

Re: cheesy or cool?

what may sound cheesy on an internet stream, might not in a club. judging by the crowds cheers, they duggit!

Re: cheesy or cool?

^^ exactly, its all about the vibe.. some people love to drop obvious remixes, and a lot of times they absolutley kill!

Re: cheesy or cool?

If you're referring to the choice of Rozalla's "Everybody's Free" in the set, it's not too bad a classic dance track to toss on every once in a while. It's not expected, and it hearkens back to the days of the early '90s of yore without being stuffy.:D Of course, bias has a lot to do with it, too: that one got played at my high school graduation party as the ending track, so it'll always have a nest in my nostalgia triggers.

Takes one to know one. Graham good point, I agree...reason I asked is for Desyn to make it so big so quickly, he obviously has an increadible track selection/timing ability. He was seriously epic, the time I saw him down in Mexico, I think this track is def a classic and a little risky to drop, good stuff!

Re: cheesy or cool?

Fine with me, is matter of knowing when to do it, and here it definitely worked

Re: cheesy or cool?

he does tend to play remixes of tunes that were big in the 80's or 90's , i got use to it,dont know why he does that, his sets were good without these remixes, but i can live with that
