Is it "ZABEE-LEEA" or "ZABEE-ELA" (or ZABEELA)???? I hear a lot of people pronounce it the first way and some people pronounce it the second, which is how it seems to be spelled. so, which is it?

this has got to be the funniest thread ever!
Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
According to the opening intro to his Essential Mix from 2002, from his own mouth he pronounced it "Zab-ee-la". I'd call that direct information from source.

English is not my 1st language, but according to all the phonetics of the language that I?ve heard, that seems to be the most logical answer.
In portuguese it?d be literally "zaa-bee-ehlah" ;)
Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
Yep. It's definitely Za-bee-luh. Don't ever listen to fuckwads like Tongy. He mashes everything. What an asshat.

Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
thank you...just looking for some consistency here! and i hate mispronouncing peoples' names.
if what's above is true, digweed says it wrong!!
Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
Digweed announces quite a few DJ names quite odd. Master of all times still is Buster from the former Global DJ Party 93.1 live broadcasts from Space for me..this guy is unbeatable with his announcements and name dropping.

Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
according to diggers on his kiss 100 show a few years back it is Za-bee-lea, lol
Re: Okay, so, which is it?? (mostly FAO Zabiela)
Just thought I'd add some more madness to the thread-
I have heard it pronounced Za-be-ya, so the L is silent, similar to a spanish dialect. Im actually suprised James himself hasn't chimed in at this point, beings he frequents MS regularly, but then again, a couple people obsessing over his last name is a little odd and funny.
