so i am not a huge fan of going out in dc too much especially buzz parties because of all the young etards with glowsticks everywhere but when the get diggers and chloe in the main room i am willing to make exceptions.

chloe fucking had that place so grooving before digweed. every track was perfectly programed. i have never seen her live and i will say i was very impressed and i see why digweed wanted her for this tour.

diggers took over about 1 am and began an onslaught that didn't stop until after 5:30. I haven't heard a set from him like that for a long long time. Blew away the Pawn Shop gig this year in Miami. I heard a ton of stuff from his recent radio shows and he ended the set with "we are all connected" to "ruah" into "heaven scent"

great night

None the less, to mix together those three classic tracks in the same set is unheard of these days. Wonder what crawled up Diggers ass? Must of been awesome.

I haven't missed any of his gigs since Delta Heavy, but I can honestly tell you NOTHING I've heard out of those 2 by themselves or together comes close that tour. Enjoy your memories and regret nothing my friend.:D

Can't wait to catch Diggers this summer if he's dusting off a few classics.

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

weird. sounds like he either played a kc set that was up to par, or many people hav a way different taste in music than I do. the KC show was nothing liek the pawnshop set :what

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

Damn that would have been awesome to hear we are connected & heaven scent in the same nigt. I really wish I have seen digweed on this tour. I know when I seen him last summer is just amazing. Best 3 hr digweed set I have heard from him. Now it sounds like he is out doing himself again. The man is truely a genius.

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

Heaven Scent is the cheesiest piece of garbage i ever heard, can't believe people are still playing that shite.

*edit. John Johnson's remix was very good though except for the inclusion of the cheesy riff.

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

After hearing Chloe's set, I was thinking she may have pissed Digweed off by stealing some of his thunder. Granted, I got there late in her set, but she was playing nick warren's remix of Kenneth Thomas' "The Orange Room", which was absolutely blowing the roof off of nation. Digweed's set was fucking beautiful though, definitely could feel more of a banging german techno vibe in his selections.

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

ahhhhh this was immmmmense. this was such a cool place. i loved how dark it was. how warehousey it feels. and the crowd. holy crap do they put something in the water in dc??? its like you guys hang on the every next tune, just waiting to be pelted with something new. incredible people. i had such a blast playing there. i felt like the whole nite was brilliant.

the last 3 songs.. well was great to hear them over a loud system. for me they remind me of my days i'd spend travelling to spundae to hear diggers and sasha mix for hours. good times. and classics. what better way to put an end to an era eh?

xx

[COLOR=DarkOrange]It was an amazing show..!! My 1st time at Nation, and I hate that the city is tearing it down for the new baseball stadium.

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

i also was there, and the night was nothing short of amazing. i've been going to shows for the past five years and this definitely ranks in my top three of all dj's. i wish i would've caught more of chloe's set, i got the tail end, and as other's have said she was great. track after track kept you wanting for more.

p.s. why nations doesn't allow gum, chap stick, etc and not those F*CKING glow sticks is beyond me???

Re: digweed and chloe dc review

i went to school in DC and luckily got to spend most fridays there- what i liked most is that the crowd is party kids not club kids and the fact that Scott Henry always books interesting int'l talent. I AM SO JEALOUS TO HAVE MISSED CHLOE there. that must have been really special. Delta HEavy was ill there as well- they stacked bins over where the booth usually is and performed onstage- it was manical
