Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
she's damn good tellin' you :RockOn:
for a trance diva she isnt a half bad dj. be curious to see what her track selection is. her latest cd was on Joakies Perfecto lable. so, we'll see.
she was awful at cream a couple of months ago. she came on after a 4 hr set by sasha for the last two hours and emptied the room

I agree!
If she's not too drunk or high, it'll be good. I have no clue about how tracie she'll be.
I don't think she has much talent at all. I feel like she just slept with the right people to work her way to the top. She has some talent but usually you can't tell b/c she's too messed up. I met her a few times and she is extremely arrogant and very flighty. The thing with EM is you never know if she's actually playing or not. I know for a fact that one of her cd's, she actually didn't mix. She had someone else doctor it up for her. She's very hit or miss tho, I've heard some people say that they've seen her and she was fantastic. We'll just have to wait and see.
I am with you on this one Pam. I saw on her first tour with Tranceport. I really liked the cd back in the day, it was fair, plus it was chicka spinning, so I had to show mad support. I swear to you, see almost spun the whole CD ... I guess practice does make perfect. :wink:
i never liked tranceport. didnt like her new perfecto disc. dont like her. :wink:
I've seen her a couple of times and she can throw down. Although, like everyone says she's hit or miss. She's just way too cracked out now, I don't think she could stand up for more than an hour.
^ i agree, def. looks like shes done one too many lines off of the club toilet seat :lol:
^ i agree, def. looks like shes done one too many lines off of the club toilet seat :lol:
It's too bad because she could play the dark shit gooood. She's done. I think she plays out once in awhile and gets paid for what she used to be. It's a shame because she used to be pretty good.
ive never personally seen her live, so i have no room to judge on that one. she actually is one of the few "big name" djs that comes to portland on a regular basis, ill have to fill my pockets with beer money and check 'er out one of these days. i still say her perfecto cd wasnt good, chock full of pretty big tracks, and some gems in there, but the cd just didnt do it for me. tranceport 3 i might have gotten into easier if i didnt find the first track, at 11 minutes in length, a tad (lot) boring. :roll: my friend on the other hand, has caught her in portland quite a few times, and seems to like her okay, although he said she looks like she's rolling everytime he sees her :lol: i doubt ill ever listen to her essential mix, but to each his own.

yes, that would be known as "oakenfold syndrome" :WinkNSmi:
she's not a bad dj... her programming is top notch and she was always good at picking out some great tunes... she's fallen off a bit in the last few years though imo... she seems to be fucked up at every gig...
and as far as her not mixing the Cream cd... not true... she mixed it, Justin Scott Dixon (Voyager) just helped with the mastering and editing a few tracks...
i haven't heard her Perfecto cd yet... though the TL doesn't look horribly bad... it doesn't look great either though...
i'm interested in hearing her EM though...
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
she's damn good tellin' you :RockOn:
huh? you're kiddin right? ever seen that trainwreck live? :roll:
she is funny though. the one good thing that came out of her was the response to the question "what would you be if not a DJ?"
her response : "sober" :LoveYou: 8)
Lost in Time was.....well ahead of its time. I still listen to that shit. I'm not expecting anything out of her as she is usually mediocre, at best, anymore.
although i haven't listened to it recently, tranceport 3 and cream were both good mixes. cream had that bad ass voyager track, Derrangement of the Senses. that was the only place i ever heard that track. and it is so fuckin cool.
Will check it out tonight, if it?s anygood might will ripp it it from the listen again. I get a shocking stream from R1 though so might give it a miss.
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
Sandra played in Austin a few months back and she didn't seem too fucked up and played an great set and the mixing was on-point.
I am a fan, I have yet to see her fuck up... I think she's probably like Oakie in the regard that she plays well when she wants to. She rocked WMC of course. She has talent, but is tired

Yah she went from Taylor to Scott Dixon that's what you call moving up the rank's...
Well, what was it like. I missed it, stupid Guate electric system.
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
it was alright... she had some pretty dope tunes. I didn't get to hear the whole thing, but the mixing I did hear was on.

Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
Tracklistings looks good, gonna give it a listen.
i'm listening to it now, the tracklisting convinced me to give it a chance, seems ok so far
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
ive only heart her once in lima peru at the blue buddha club...ahe was fucking awesome..one of the best partyes ive ever been to..she drank whisky directly from the bottle all night :twisted:
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
She played a few good tracks and the mixing was spot on... but it was a bit dull really. Trance-by-numbers :?
So the mix.... is pretty poor. Nothing special at all. Poor programming. Most of the tunes are sooooo old. Im bored of most She def wasted that essential mix. Cant see many UK clubs booking her off the back of that mix.
Seen her twice a few years back. Once she was ok. Other time she was wasted. :oops:
Scratch Perverts this weekend Deep Dish in 2 weeks next weekend though live from Creamfields. Slam the week after. All should be good.
heres the tracklisting from the show
Terry Grant - I'll Kill You (Bedrock)
:arrow: Can somebody tell me plz when this thing was released, as I couldn't find any reference on bedrock site.
btw they messed up the tracklisting - 3rd track is of course a remix of F. Farfa
found the mix to be pretty boring. i always tend to give her a chance since she used to spin some stellar sets at metropolis back in the day but every cd and mix i hear from her in the last 5 years have been awful.
the girl can do rails like a champ though
Long time without hearing her, but she's a bit good, sometimes she took too much cocaine, at least here in Peru.
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
I have a mix tape with her from mid 90's I think, maybe even earlier, I forgot the name of the club now... (I think it was Flamable Liquid) - the club where Doc Martin and a bunch of other djs first started playing at first... and let me tell you - its a pretty damn amazing tape! ! ! a m a z i n g...
:Bingo: :Bingo: :Bingo: :RockOn:

she's a crazy DJ............ i listen in peru two times.....
Re:: Sandra Collins' Essential Mix
I did not think that the mix was that bad. IMHO it was actually quite alright. Nothing special, but not bad either. I liked the intro.
