Yeah, lucky me I live along the New Madrid. :)
From what I understand, the damage will be much worse than quakes in Cali because of the soil composition here. It's supposed to cause the earth roll in waves rather than shaking from side to side like in Cali which will cause much more damage. Oh, and none of our infrastructure is designed to withstand an earthquake, so... hopefully it won't happen in our lifetimes because it's going to be a major major catastrophe when it finally hits.
