Their store in the high-end mall near my house just closed down. I think I was the only person that ever stepped foot in the place. Definitely high quality merchandise, but with the high quality price tag to go along with it which probably scared most of the rednecks around these parts.

But as an ex Bose employee I have to say that B&O should invest more in their sound quality rather than in design. Yeah well, I'm just a sound purist ;)

agreed, I think B&O's sound quality is alot of hype. Its above average, but some of the salesmen in the store would have you beleive its simply the shit. :lol:

you are an ex bose employee and you think B&O should invest more in sound ? Did you piss in your ears before turning on the Bose ? Even the top of the line 901's are CRAP sounding speakers imo. B&W / KEF / B&O / Sonus Fabers walk all over the the Bose....

Well im doing Overall Sales and site surveys in peoples homes so it should be interesting..
kinky i cant really comment as i havent heard much Bose stuff, but tbf the sound off any B & O system is incredible and i wouldnt class myself as a novice when it comes to audio systems.
The Design is vital to the kind of people who buy B & O stuff if u think about it.

Me on the other hand, I buy a toaster to make toast and not to look at it. That's what I like about Bose: it's all about the sound and minimalism (cfr Jewel Cubes).
Btw, I was residential sound engineer at Bose. So I dropped by the rich mofos who wanted to integrate multiroom audio with domotics 'n' shit. You're in for a sweet ride when you've gotta visit those richa ass B&O consumers man ;)

i think b&o's success is attributed to the fact that they combine cutting edge design with high quality products. Bose is just bose, they have a few good items, but nothing spectacular imo.

i am not saying that their stuff is bad, but as one of the principles of capitalism, if every second public place has that installed, then they are best thing you got for that price, but if they are the best, why then some plp buy 3 times more expensive B&O? design? dont think so...
and if B&O prices are so high, why do plp pay for B&O, if Bose sound is better? or some other highly remarked trademarks...

It's located 5 meters below the ground and when we were lining up the floor was trembling from the bass sounds. Yup indeed, fully Bose equiped.
I'm not saying you should ditch AEW, I'm just saying that when it comes to definition and bass, to me there's nothing better than Bose.

B&O has a kick ass sexy design, Bose doesn't because their phillosphy is that you buy a speaker to listen to, not to look at.

I've worked for Bose Belgicum directly. We don't have Bose Stores overhere (Bose works with independant dealers here), but I've been to one in the UK and I heard about the scripts you were talking about. Well oiled selling machines imo ;)
You want a war story? We had a stand on a large interior fair and so did B&O. The night before the opening we (the sales reps and me) were guzzling down a keg of beer. Excellent prep to water the plants at the abandoned B&O stand with a few gallons of piss. They never knew where the stench came from, hahahahahaha!
