Paul Oakenfold is the single most powerful man in electronic music. His name on a flyer guarantees a capacity crowd. His remixing midas-touch is a yellow-brick road leading to tons of airplay. From the original Tranceport to his latest mix CD Creamfields, the man can build an empire out of a few carefully selected and mixed tunes. That's right, the latest Paul Oakenfold mix CD from Thrive records is on the shelves and you're invited to embark on the musical odyssey.
what happened to retirement? we were so close. :cry:
I?m told a contract killing using local labour from Guatemala is only around $5000.
[MS] has roughly 5000 members.

Do the math, for $1 each we can be rid of Jokenfold once and for all. :twisted:

I think it'll be great having him at the Buenos Aires Creamfields...

..that way all the dickheads will run to see him and there will be some space on the other tents to dance comfortably :twisted:

Re:: Oakenfold Returns with Creamfields

His "drug-induced performances" are mindboggling.

#238529Post 9 of 29

is there anyone besides 12-17 year old boys who like this dj?

#238555Post 10 of 29

Re:: Oakenfold Returns with Creamfields

Unfortunately yes,my house mate loves him,but he doent realise that the oakey sets he listens to are 5-6 years old.Also a dj friend of mine likes him,but again mostly his old e-mixes-however he will still buy all his mix cds.

#238558Post 11 of 29

Re:: Oakenfold Returns with Creamfields

he was in st. louis recently and played at a club for less than an hour before he walked off, because it was too hot. besides, we went next door and listened to Jenks tear it up.

Re:: Oakenfold Returns with Creamfields

Wow, I see he has tried to jump on the "Involver bandwagon" with this Creamfields mixed CD -

Additionally, the album's tracks have all been altered or remixed by Paul so that each one has a very distinct stamp of approval.

Gee, that sounds kind of familiar -

I think with the institution of the new spam/qualityposts/posting rules about to be put in place we should have a stream to this album open up opon visitin MS if he is found to be a spammer.

Damn the trance! Save the empire!

I think you'd be looking at some serious lawsuits there, dude. Mental anguish, destruction of property (from vomiting on the computer keyboard), physical pain & suffering (from jamming sharp objects in the ears) - Mercuryserver would be out of business in no time.

I can just see the lawyer ads on TV now...

"Have you been the victim of Oakenfold-related negligence? Are you left picking up the pieces of your life because of a deliberate and malicious Oakenfolding? The law offices of Beanz & Pataky get you the money you deserve! Make those sick perverts who made you suffer through "Starry Eyed Surprise" pay every penny they owe!"

This might even start off a new sort of crimewave - "drive-by Oakenfolding". Just picture it - a car drives up to a house. Somebody throws bricks through the living room windows. 5000 Watts of Oakenfold pulsates through the whole house. Everybody inside - a slow, agonizing death.

No, I say to just stick with giving the convicted spammers 90 minutes in a dark room with beanz. :Anal:

#238764Post 19 of 29

Jokenfold is so washed up. He will do anything to get money. Oakey thinks he some big rock star now. What a disgrace to dance music. Trance sucks.

#238768Post 20 of 29

No anal rapage by beanz is worse man, you have some twisted fucking imagination dude. 90 minutes alone in a room with beanz and lights on is hard enough to do.

Re:: Oakenfold Returns with Creamfields Tracklist

Paul Oakenfold and Cream rekindle their storied relationship with "Creamfields," the new 2XCD mix album set to commemorate the massive 2004 Creamfields festival. Thrive/Perfecto are releasing the album in North America, and Newstate are releasing it the the UK in conjunction with Cream. The new mix features original Oakenfold re-edits of every track + new remixes produced exclusively for this album, including the massive Oakenfold reworkings of Carlos Vives, Mauro Picotto and U2's "Beautiful Day."

The album draws on Paul?s unique sound, mixing progressive and tech house flavours with cool melodic trance and breaks

Over the last seven years Creamfields has gone on to become the biggest dance festival in the UK, attracting over 40,000 people each year. The 10,000 capacity Cream Arena remains one of its biggest attractions with Paul Oakenfold at its helm. Creamfields is the only dance festival to take its concept global and so far, has staged events in Czech Republic, Poland, Ireland, Buenos Aires and Turkey.

Paul Oakenfold comments: ?This album has been a real challenge, trying to represent the sound and atmosphere of the famous main Cream arena at Creamfields ? great fun! This record contains exclusive re-edits of all the tracks and some original remixes I?ve compiled especially for this project?.

Did any like Oakenfold back in the day?

#240103Post 26 of 29

I liked him... the GOA Gold n Silver mixes are great mixes, I still play them sometimes.

But things like: 6. Carlos Vives ? Como Tu (Paul Oakenfold remix)... make me keep listening to his old stuff rather than checking anything new.
