If I want good mixing, I'll listen to Oakenfold, thank you very much! :Naughty:

Seriously, of all the big trance DJ's, only PvD and John 00 Fleming do it for me.

Tiessto's popularity stems from the fact that he plays mainstream trance which may be easily appreciated by the masses. Think pop trance. His muisc has mass appeal but most connoisseurs of the house music world (like us!!) would shun as shit. I guess when anything becomes too commercial it starts to suck.

mainstream trance = poop it was cool in 1998. in 2004 its poop.

A friend of my g/f's (who's into shitty trance and probably listens to Tiesto) sent this to her. She was like WTF?

Ooohh... sorry for missing that inside joke.

Just wanted to make the statement that I feel ashamed that a country with such a great dj-culture and dance history could also produce the likes of Tiesto... :x

Well maxman, same here dude. I'd rather like to think about the fine prog dj's our country has also brought forth, like Kleinenberg, Lemon8, Foort (hmm..not always prog), Jefferson. I still have a mix from Tiesto that is maybe 8 years old I guess...in the Lost treasures series. That one is still pretty cool, but damn...the musical diarrhea he's spewing on the crowds these days...that's only good enough for those 12-16 year old wet pussies that are only interested in happy-happy music made by wannabe-cool "dj's" wearing shirts with cheesy tribals printed on them (sooo outdated) like Johan Gielen. Goddamn, that guy maybe even more irritating than Tiesto...I read an interview with him in DJ broadcast, had to go to the toiler immediately after.
