Had a run in with Smokey this morning and he ticketed me going 75MPH in a 55MPH.... $150 ticket! Ouch :evil:

But check this out... The cop asked if my address was correct on my drivers license and I said no. My girlfriend gave the cop her license and said that the address was the same. So the cop takes both licenses back to his car and writes up my ticket. I get the ticket and my name is correct and the address but it says I'm Female!! :shock: :shock: Also says that I was born on a different date and that I weigh 110 pounds (try 190)... Hilarious. Her drivers license number is on the ticket instead of mine! So do you think I will be able to get out of this one? I haven't got a ticket in over 10 years so I don't even really know how to contest one.

Worth the hassle: I got flashed in a zone 50 (km/h) driving 120. The aftermath was pretty painfull, I'm tellin' ya...

ummm, you can get the ticket thrown out, but at the cost of aggravating the shit out of GF when she gets called in to answer why her liscence # is ticketed

NO PROBLEM. first the cop has to show up and second with everything fuct up you are sure to beat it.you will most likely just have to pay court cost.

Holy shit that sucked for you. Worse I ever got was 90+ in a 65. The cop was so furious because I didn't see him and he was following me for a while. It was daylight and I'd just gotten onto the free in less than a mile when he decided to ride my ass. He was on his break, and was furious because he had to race to catch me and he didn't even know how fast I got. It was hilarious. My boss was in the car and the cop chewed his ass out for not seeing him. hahahaha

You will not beat it based on that mistake, ceratinly not on your own. Maybe if you get a lawyer you might have a shot, you might want to call one of those schister traffic court specialists and see what he thinks.

It is a 4 point ticket so definitely plead guilty, go the court date and "talk to the prosecutor" who will most likely drop the speed down to 0-9 over, which is a two pointer, but you will pay more than double the fine. Still worth it because 4 pts will increase your insurance premium, and leave you very little wiggle room for any further violations in the next few years.

I got a 4pt reduced to 2pt 3 weeks ago. There was a kid in there who got caught 100 in a 35, he got 6 month suspension and $900+ in fines.

I think it's up to the judge. I had a 150.00 ticket and got it thrown out but the judge charged me 100.00 court cost with no points on my record

I just received my court summons for the ticket I got back in late February. The court date isn't until October, so I'm hoping the cop will forget about it. I was only doing 77 in a 60.

In Indiana you can do a "safe driver diversion". All I have to do is pay the ticket within 60 days and it doesn't go towards my record or my insurance. I think I'll probably just do that.

I was speeding. I'll own up to it! ;)

fight it...seriously...the cop totally messed this up...your name, her #? Just make sure she can come in with you. Hopefully she doesn't get po'd, but otherwise if you can't make the date, pay it.

I called and asked them about that and they said if I came in and paid it they would make sure it was fixed. I'm going to check out a lawer really quick and see if I have a leg to stand on if not oh well
