i used to see him back when he throw down at limelight a lot (duh)
same here...that good ole disco 2000 party! :Bingo:

but it was never about the dj, always about the party :)

Re: keoki

Some of his early mix CD's were decent, I thought - but then you see him live and realize that he is one of the worst DJs on the planet. I saw him really early in my electronic music life, and I could have still mixed records better then he did.

You want to hear some huge train wrecks, download some live sets by him from the late 90's - it can really make you feel better about yourself and your mixing ability

Re: keoki

i once saw him, while completely hammered (he'd been drinking tequila straight from the bottle for an hour or two) bust out giant lines of coke on the record he'd just finished 'mixing' out of (i use the term very loosely with him). does a couple of hits off that before security kindly points out he probably shouldn't be doing that quite so blatantly. that caused him to get extremely mad, drink the rest of the tequila in the bottle, and then throw the now-empty bottle at the security guard.

later that night, he passed out on top of the mixer, and his 'partner' (read: boyfriend) had to close out his set.

he may be a shitty dj, but god he was entertaining....

Re: keoki

i saw keoki at the dirtiest, nastiest detroit rave ever. imagine the basement of gigantic building with absolutely no lights, shit for sound, 2 - 3 inches of water on the floor, and 110 degrees.. atleast! needless to say, it sucked. i remember walking down the stairway to this place and getting jet blasted with 110 degree air, then taking the last step down and splat, the whole place is like underwater. the place was pitch black.. the only thing you could see were glowsticks and one faint light behind the dj booth.

Re: keoki

I saw him around 95-97 at Firestone in Orlando. He would toss back a bottle of Jack like it was iced tea. I don't know how he is these days, but back then, he would rip the roof off the place. He would play some really wacked out dark ass groovy tech...
