and...
:Bounce:
indeed, some were good, some were really boring
kiss sets from 2003 were fantastic
I think the break this year kinda got him off track. but the recent sets have been very nice, and more like the digweed we all come to know and love. overall ... i give digweed a 4 and sasha a 10 for the year.
i've haved loved themz. keep it going diggerz !! you are my favorite! yes?
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
2003 kiss100 shows were better for me!
i've haved loved themz. keep it going diggerz !! you are my favorite! yes?
OMG...someone help, Jib's been kidnapped by Pataky-Pal. Oh, I hope Jib didn't steal an X-Box or something.
I'm digging 04. Some good, some bad...can't win them all. Production flows up and down....
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
I think his Beirut mixes have been the highlight of 04 so far. Karlos Elizondo was the best guest mix IMO.
i havent listened to many of them, but there have been some great ones (notably Chloe and Steve Gerrard) and some mediocre ones.. essential mix has also been subpar this year imo :x
I have to admit it that this years Digweed sets haven't really done much for me - although last nights was pretty decent.
I find the Christian Cambas, Steve Gerrard, and Meat Katie sets are slamming. The Meat Katie set is c r a z y.
I think, if you compare this year's guest mixes with last years's, there have been ebbs and peaks both years. I distinctly remember a run of guest sets last year that just didn't do much for me, and then there was a run of 3-4 great ones in a row. Overall, there were enough great sets this year to keep me :D
I give 7 points to the kiss shows. I not heard too much shows from 2003.

the cambas one was last year :WinkNSmi:
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
i have to agree with some of the sentiments voiced above. i havent been too impressed with the sets since the break, they are nice sets dont get me wrong, but not ones ill go back to time and again. the beirut sets have been great though.
i also did tend to enjoy his sets come end of last year.
Gonna go with the popular opinion on this one. The 2003 sets including the guest mixes were fantastic. This year has been up and down. There have been some mixes which I havent enjoyed at all.
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
his show rocks. :Naughty:
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
Anyone notice the sets aren't as dark as before? Maybe the break had something to do with it - perhaps pressure from the station to play tunes that would catch more listeners?
I think the lee burridge is one of the best sets I have listened to this year
I think the sets are pretty much the same,i dont reallt tune in for them anyway, its all about the guest mix for me.The best ever sets were the first ones from 2000,some great classics in there
Some where really good and some where just alright. I would give it a 7 so far. Last were better but it just all depends on the records that are out there also. If there are not good tracks coming out then how do expect a dj to spin a good set. From what I heard so far there have been some excellent tracks producded this yr but Diggers spin what he wants not whats popular at the time.
it's been good. i'd say a 10 out of 10.
but i think hernan cattaneo's resident on 95.1 are really bumping, every dam week. i'm totally hooked on his sets.
8/10. He is still very good.
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
We need more sets from SLACKER, PLEASE!!!!
The two his done so far have been wicked, never bore playing them sets. :)
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
I gotta agree with the majority of comments abovew. The diggers set hasn't been as good as in the past and perhaps most of it has to do with the breaks.
As for guest mixes, Scott Bradford, Rulers of the Deep and Astro&Glyde have been the ones still rocking me this year.
why don't the mods set up a rating system for each weeks mix by digs? ok it would be a blatant copy of djmixes2k but it would be a great reference for any mixes gone by that people lost.
just a thought.
I'd have to say an 8/10. Tim Skinner's mix really restored the faith. I really hate it when diggers' gets cut off with a commercial, but I know its beyond his control.
I wonder what his sleep schedule is like. I guess he's been up that late every saturday since he was 15, but damn.
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
I don't find Digweed's Kiss sets to be too appealing as of late. Not that they're bad, but not that great either.
I think it has something to do with the music and how it has changed (slightly) compared to the sets in 2001 and 2002. Those are fabulous!
Really good dark progressive!... Stuff like Evol D - Insect, Sven Vath - Barbarella (DD mix) and all of his live sets back then.
Beruit is off the hook too though!
Beirut is sick indeed. I do have to say that there is some value in saving the real loving for the live sets. Clearly he tailors his kiss sets for a different kind of audience (maybe?) But I wish he played part 4! I'm on a mac and thus no soulseek :(
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
Diggers can only play what's out there at the moment and if the tunes aren't there what can he do?! As for the guests so far this year the one that I keep going back to is the one I cannot spell for love nor money...Desyn Maciello. Overall the quality cannot be faulted and the alternative's that are open to me really are not that appealing...Judge Jules anybody
its the best show on the radio.
As far as the uk goes anyway.
Kiss 100 (Aug 08, 2004) John Marsh
mix of the year IMO

i like that idea too :Bingo:
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
I think the Burridge set was the best of the year so far...
Re:: How would you rate Digweed's kissfm show's this year
I've been noticing the show about a 6 of 10 for about 1.5 years now. 2002 was a sick year for the music, but it's gotten a little light. Almost 'pop'y. How do we fix this?
