There has been loads of speculation as to the details of the rumours about Laurent and Mills playing together in London in the coming months and they have been cemented.
Both of these legendary, respected and incredibly talented DJs are constantly talked about for their sets around the world. For those that have never experienced either of these DJs we very very strongly recommend you head down to this night, as it will be a rare chance to enjoy some of the finest electronic music amazingly crafted by two of the industries best.
Mills are Garnier will be going at it back-to-back in Room One at Fabric not for 3 or 4 or even 5, but 7 full hours. They will be tearing things up on Thursday September 16 from an early starting 9:00pm until the wee hours of 4am (and hopefully some more). In speaking about their joint Music effort Mills said; "What Laurent and I hope to achieve with this tour is to remind people that music is still a very special gift that all cultures share, and it is how we are all connected to one another. There are people who have something important to say, and they say it through music. We think by taking the time to gather as much meaningful music as we can, no matter what it's called or where it comes from, and playing it, this might provoke people to reclaim their affection and love for music. I estimate that parts of the tour might be difficult, as some find it hard to listen/dance to anything that stands out of the normal 4/4, techno/house sphere. These are the very people we are interested in reaching with our message. Music. The music that Laurent and I will play during this tour will be taken from the huge wealth of dance music that producers have left behind." Also the night before the event (Wednesday September 15) the BBC Radio One will broadcast a set featuring Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier on John Peel show which will definitely be something to warm you up on.
