double damn! I think that's the best ms member set up!
2nd would be that one with the dj booth built into the living room with some lcd display on the front...some pages back.
Nice one Arts!
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
If I had a setup like that, I would spank off every time I looked at it!

Anyone know where I can get a cheap, tall and big table for my shit. . .my back is starting to hurt.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
you can buy the raw wood at lowes or HD and then get out a drill and some screws and there ya go. And it'll be WAY cheaper than you would ever have to pay for a pre made one. My Father made my stand I use for my studio. It's just made of 2X4's for the legs a 3/4" plywood for the top and 1/2" for the bottom part and 1X3's for the stuff to hold it all together. It's really not that hard to make one for yourself.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
yeah thats kind of what I was planing on doing. . .found me a DIY book and some ideas design-wise on the net. . .tomorrow evening I get cracking :)
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
I got two long pieces of wood and put bricks as the stands...Ghetto, but works.

You are correct :D The notebook on the left is an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad x61 Tablet with the X6 Tablet Ultrabase. The notebook on the right (see the on the top rack self), is also a Tablet Notebook and it's a Fujitsu-Siemens T4220 attached to a docking station as well.
The x61 Tablet at the time of the photoshoot, was used for Audio Hard Disk Recording with SoundForge 9 and by using a Tascam US-1641 Audio Interface (you can see it rackmounted below the Roland logo), hooked directly to the mixer Booth Output. :D
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
two convertibles - nice :) i didn't notice :)
i hope the x61 comes with more hard drive. i've only got a x41t (the x61 wasn't out back when i bought it) and it only has 60 gigs, which is a little on the weak side, if you wanna keep your digital record collection on it ;)
lenovo has a new convertible out, the x200 tablet... i've had a quick look at it, maybe i'll get that as my next laptop...

The x200T is also my next notebook. I wish it had an HDMI or a DVI port on the main body (it has a DVI though only in the Ultrabase).
My x61T came from factory with 1GB of RAM and with 80GB 5400RPM HDD. I replaced both from day one with 4GB of RAM and a 320GB 7200RPM HDD and it goes like a fired missle :) (The same upgrade is made on the FSC T4220) ;)

I figured I'd post my new setup as I have recently moved and set things up differently.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
^^ Damn Caley, you and I have almost the exact same setup... minus the Mac.
I'm moving right now so I'll post mine when I get it all setup but I just picked up 2 SRM 450 v2s.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
those speakers are so fucking crisp... I love 'em

Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
nice set up Caley, love the wall color! I need to get me some new speakers!
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
thanks man, it's called "anonymous grey" haha
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Nice one Caley ... I that interphase an audio 8 kontrol??
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
yeah, it's the Audio 8 that goes with Traktor Scratch... love it
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Finally got some pics. Obviously Serato isn't hooked up yet but just moved into a new place and got everything else set up.
My main thing was that I didn't want to be staring into a wall when I dj... want to look out into the room.

Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Good one ;) And with the SL1200s in battle mode :)
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Yeah, I had to put them in battle mode in order for everything to fit on the stand.
When I first build the stand, I had a skinnier mixer, and one cdj... obviously been upgrading over the years and now i need to upgrade the width of my stand as well! :)
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Nice build. Your console looks like my Sefour. Similar shape.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Speaking about upgrades and desk expanding, here is my current DJ setup, after the last upgrade (and I plan to keep this intact at least by the end of 2009):

Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
it looks nice not really diggin the keyboards though
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
^^lol, sure they work as good as any, no?
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
The keyboards are for the screens on the wall (each one is associated with a workstation machine for music or generic use) :)
The design is fully ergonomic and the keyboards do not affect the slot in/out loading of the CDJs as the slot loading mechanism is just a few milimeters higher than the keyboards height, so everything is cool and calculated to work precisely 8)

Do I see there a Roland DJ-2000 there???? I have to see and touch this rare beauty for about 2 years. Old but solid unit. ;) Nice one. :)
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
Yup, I managed to find it on ebay for $130.00... simply amazing find. It was missing 3 knobs and 1 slider which cost me an astounding $24 via Roland of NA. No crackling, popping, bleeding, etc.. the FX are circa 1990 but it's all good, I'm not complaining at all.
Re: post photos of your dj setup here :)
I would be interested into buing one only for the historical value. This is a Hall Of Fame machine. Congrats, you got a superdeal for a machine that will worth a lot in a few years if it is still in mint condition... ;)
I wish I was that lucky with getting one at such a price too (there is only one unit in demo condition at the Greek distributor of Roland in Greece, who is located in Patra, who is selling it for the price of 2600 Euros, which is more than insane, even for a museum historical value item) :(
