so what are your favorite local djs in your area?

in both of the carolinas (nc more so than sc) we have a really good variety of great djs in alot of genres

house/tech-house: greg pappanastos, james fedelle, michael dunham, me(:p ), dave oliver, and rythm mechanic.

breaks are extremely big here so theres an abundance of breaks djs but a few of my favorites are: sean mcclellan, joe sweeny, and backspace.

for drum n bass both north carolina and south carolina are absolutely going off right now, there are a lot of dnb djs based here but a few of my favorites are: basic operations, gyromite, eric e, luna, shyguy, proto j, tetradin, will love. those are a few really good ones.

Andy Hughes, always has been since I heard him at Brassy (early 1990) and then those long nights at MARZ. He still manages to get my feet moving after all of these years. Chris Fortier was also one of my favorites from those early days at MARZ, listening to him spin for 10 hours was just awesome. But he moved on to bigger and better. Sorry just reminiscing! :oops:

derek fisher, chloe harris, the perfect cyn, suppoz, jerry abstract, mr mumu, evan alexander.

there are probably a lot more, but thats off the top of my head, and i cant be bothered to try and think of more.

goodness there are so many people from in or around dallas, or texas for that matter. to many to name on a national level. texas has a huge local talent pool that play out quite often.

demarkus lewis, kid icarus, brett johnson, jt donaldson, lance desardi, chris anderson, tim xavier, thomas sahs, lance cashion, granite/phunk, & old school fave, dj bizz. that is all some form of house or techno.

dnb in texas is a staple on the world map & has a strong following with several great people.

Columbus, Ohio....well myself. David Farlow, Nino Anthony, Jason Allen and Quantum (AKA Sean Shirk). These guys are not only good to great dj's but are hella nice people too. Be on the lookout for some of us coming up through the ranks within the year.

Theres just way too many djs in Boston that are coming up atm..Lets see for house we got.Randy Deshaises,Walt Zink,Mike Swells,DJ Vox(watch out for him hes on the come up)catch him at wmc with Bassmint records hes got promos galore.aslo Chad Will theres so many ive left out.for tribal.Matt Josh,Etiquette,and Craig Mitchell.cant forget Porter,Eli Wilkie,Chris Micali,Bon Johnson,Emjae,Groovefire,Dres,Freespace,Melee,Kares,Jack Mcdevitt.the list goes on and on.some of those people you may not have a clue who they are and some you will know.

Moshics a local lad, but rarely plays here.

Eran Barnea (resident at the TLV) and Roee Tochner are my local heros at the moment, and not forgetting that big girls blouse Ofer Nissim.

The good thing about DJ Vibe is that he stll has a monthly residence here in Lisbon and still has a weekly radio show at a local station. This guy NEVER forgets where he comes from.

In Houston, the most recognizable names are Randall Jones and Derek Howell. Randall is opening for Digweed this Friday.

Some local favorites are Sean Carnahan, Mike Snow, Wes Wallace, Alex C, Bizz, DJ Sun, Andrei Morant, Jeffrey Mac, Kyle Berg, Dustin Swint, Brotha Jibril and Little Martin(Their rent House nights are fun).

holosound.- alex and noah have never disappointed. always rock it with a groove. never have to hammer it out to get ppl dancing.

matt licata used to be a fav, but havent seen him play in a long time. he was part of the 112 crew for awhile.

Gabriel and Dresden, but they've gotten big now. Watch out for Christopher Lobsinger. He's only 19 and has a show on Proton Radio. But he is good, and he'll probably be big one day.
