Ok guys....if you have noticed I have been on here about double the time I normally am lately. With the teachers still on strike I am starting to go bonkers!!

I am severly lacking motivation to work on assignments as who knows when they will be back......I am also lacking in funds being a student so I can't just go shopping or out to pass time.

Any ideas???

In the meantime feel free to entertain me :D

1- You can huff on spraypaint while playing a live mix on your headphones 1a- If you are a painter then this is the perfect tie-in to getting back in front of that canvas (or on the floor in front of it with pale blue skin)

2- You can still kill time the way the working world does it when they've got too much of it, the interweb never fails to surprise and/or amuse... here's a link to Melanie Griffith's homepage, it's sumthin alright, and while perhaps not a good one it's a start nonetheless.

3- Not being able to golf is a good thing. If you are in toronto I am sure there are plenty of museums/galleries/exhibits that are free or a nominal charge that you can drag your lazy ass to, and you'll be sure to enjoy.

4- There's always porn and masturbation. Always.

Re: Beyond Bored

 Honestly, Karen, I work all week, spending most of my free time planning for a wedding and I wish that I could have at least 1 day of boredom. Just sitting my ass on the couch the entire day watching Jerry Springer. Yet you complain about being bored at home. Seriously, this is a non issue.

Also, There are but loads of things out there to do.

1st - Turn off your PC.

2nd - Go get a jacket, remember it is cold in Toronto, duh

3rd - Go do something - take picture, meet people, sight see, do something

No offence Pickle, but if I was spending my free time playing scrabble online, I would have my head examined. Throw a party, study, do something. You live once, don't waste at a PC telling people that you are bored. :| or go to http://www.i-am-bored.com/

BTW, who won the scrabble game?

I went out drinking friday night I did yard work saturday day I went out drinking saturday night I went to a buddy's house for a party sunday night, even though missouri had 80 tornados grounded monday was my birthday, and I went out drinking i'm flying to Miami in under a week to go sightseeing and picture-taking

I think I'm allowed to sit on my ass one night a week in the home that I purchased so I can enjoy a board game with a friend. I told you about the scrabble game and you went crazy about sitting inside. just because we don't tell you every little event in our lives doesn't mean we don't have one and/or aren't trying to live. you just said it yourself: you wish you had a whole day to waste on your ass. don't be a such a hypocritical turd.

ugh, you misunderstood my post. I am in the same situation and looking for time to sit on my ass in front of the PC screwing around or sitting on the couch. My point was that if you have no job, school etc.. don't spend all of your time on the PC. Get out and enjoy life. You keep yourself busy enjoying life so my post applies to Karen

Re: Beyond Bored
righton. i'm flying into lauderdale... still need to research cab/bus fares to SoBe. any recommendations?
Lauderdale is a decent drive down to Miami Beach, so it will be a good penny if you take a cab.

You can try this. From the Airport, take the shuttle to the Tri-Rail. This will then take you into Miami. From there, catch the Metro Rail that will take to downtown. Then you can take either a bus or short cab ride to the hotel. This will save you booko money.

FTL Airport http://www.tri-rail.com/destinations/broward_county.htm#ftlairp

South Beach http://www.tri-rail.com/destinations/md_county.htm#mbeach

Hope it helps.

As for the scrabble comment.....who are you to judge pickle and I? I don't see anything wrong with playing a game online with a friend.....I can't exactly drive over to pickles house and play a game and shoot the shit so we improvised with the internet. Millions of ppl play games online every day. We played for what, maybe 2 hrs....I hardly think we are throwing our lives away

When I posted this thread it was more of a hey guys I'm bored entertain me and I thought people would post silly ideas and pictures, etc. apparently some people took it differently.

She is queen Lazy and I think she will agree.

Hey Karen, there is nothing wrong with playing scrabble. My point is that there is more do to in this life then to sit home being bored. You asked for advice on what to do, and people gave great advice. Pole dancing was my personal favorite.

Here are some more: Learn to DJ, write a poem, take some pictures, do something nice for someone, call up an old friend, visit the family, go to the gym, throw a small party, learn to cook a new dish, go shopping, read a book, volunteer, see a museum, write a story, play a sport, run jog drink and get wasted :) take a picture sing a song make some beer learn a new language fly a kite the possiblilties are endless
or sky diving
