i got the belt ALLLL the time, seriously, it sucked. I always wondered if getting your ass whooped (spanking) was a cultural thing, because whenever i was over a white kids house and he acted out of line, his parents would be like "don't do that again billy!" , but whenever i was over a black kids house and the black kid acted out of line his parents would say something along the lines of "nigga! act up again, and im gonna tear that ass up!" :lol: so i always thought the white kids got it easy, but i found out that isnt always true and there were white kids that got spankings, as well as a few asian kids as well.

i remember this one time i stole a gameboy (one of the big fat grey ones) from the dentists office, and i thought i was being slick, so i waited till no one was watching and i stuffed it in my underwear real fast, and when we were leaving the dentists office and going down the stairs the gameboy came loose and fell out of my shorts and my mom was like :shock: "oh hell no!" that nite wasnt very pleasant :lol:

yeah, loads of times. my parents are fundy-christian pastors. 'spare the rod...' mom broke a wooden spoon on my ass, i laughed. i wasn't a great kid. went to a christian junior high that my parents ran. dad had a specially-designed paddle made of wood, with holes drilled into it. hurt hella. didn't stop me from visiting his office almost daily.

the real question is, will you spank your kids? as much as i say NO. there is something inside me, when i'm around a nutball kid, that i just want to give them a good wallup.

My mom used a bat, some call it abuse, I called it tough love. I was a fucking bad lil fucker and I deserved every crack I got across my face.

Well that was until one day I grabbed the bat out of her hand at the age of 12 and said if you hit me with it again I am gonna whack you back. Wrong move, dad stepped in a said he will take over from now on and got out a belt.

That shit hurt.

My dad made a paddle out of formica. He would beat the shit out of me! One year I tested him by bringing home 5 D's 1 A and B on my report card. He beat the tar out of me and I laughed the whole time. He never touched me again...and he didn't speak to me for 2 years. I was a coniving little bastard :D

i remember once when i was like 6.....i was lighting matches in my room and throwing them on the carpet while they were still lit....almost burned my house down....my dad came home and wrapped a belt around his hand and punched me in the face....i dont think it was a hard hit but it hurt like hell....that was after he threw me in the air and my head hit the ceiling...

my dad only hit a couple of times.... my mom... wow she threw everything but short of chucking the maid servant at me....

slippers, sandals, brooms, toys, man name it.... eventually after 6th grade it stopped hurting.... she still tried till 9th grade and finally gave up ....

now she uses a stronger weapon ..... mothers love.....

yep... and deservedly so. i used to have to go in the back yard and actually "pick" which stick my dad would use to smack my ass. i also got clobbered in school as well. i had this one teacher named mr adams who had a cut down oar with holes drilled in it for a more aerodynamic swing. i got it once and never did anything wrong in that class again.

Got spanked too. Usually not too bad, unless I really fucked up, but then again I only got what I deserved. My parents never ever used anything besides their hands to whoop my ass though...which I respect. Belting or clubbing is fucking lame and definitely qualifies as abuse for me, and the day I see a parent to that to their kids i'm gonna give them some of their own 'tough love'.

Fuck, I was once at a Judo tournament, and the kid next to me had lost his match. His dad went berserk and gave him a karate kick in his kidneys. I was SO pissed off, but much too small to take on the guy...That kid is now Dutch champion and European Champion Judo in his weight class...

My dad was big on name calling and telling me I was useless and stupid any chance he got. It had definitely took me a while to gain some self confidence. 2. yes they did, i used to have to actually go get the belt and wait in my room. and i think they did it right. i look at the kids i grew up with who had lazy parents who didnt care about grades or behaviour and they turned out not so good. they mow lawns for the town, one bartends during the day, one works a dock at UPS, few of them are quite literally homeless wastes. and then i look at the ones who had strict parents and we are accountants, lawyers, S&P analysts, electricial engineer, one owns his own car shop.

2. agreed, but times are changing, i dont know the best way to raise a kid, but being stricts isnt always the answer. Sometime taking away a video game system can be just as devastating as a spanking can.
