dude I don't live in the innercity but I live smack dab in the middle of downtown.... moving into this place was NOT FUN. bunch of bums/randoms eyeballing all my shit as we were loading it off the truck.... uhaul parked on a busy ass street.... having to lock up the truck everytime we unloaded and ran something up. moving sucks enough but when you are moving into a downtown area its 93 times worse...

This definition is exactly the problem. It's an entirely modern and biased U.S. definition with tons of negative connotations of what constitutes the "inner city."

Anyway, I'm now officially "in the hood" in downtown Cincinnati in a section call Over The Rhine. I lived close to here in the past but not on a street this raw. Kinda fun and kinda loud. The drug dealers actually have a better work ethic than I do ;) (fyi I'm on E 13th Greg) So I have the laptop up and running so things aren't so bleak afterall. Pics of inner city life and the characters around me to come in the next few days.

sounds like fun geoff. is it an urbansites building? we looked at quite a few around there a few years ago, but ended up on the east side (oakley) due to my girlfriend's job. if we were planning on staying in cincinnati long-term, we'd be in the same area.
