Anyone live in or around Tempe/Phoenix?

I got a sick offer from my company to relocate from NY to AZ. They're based in Tempe. I'm moving in April. I was checking out apartments in Scottsdale. I've been out there a few times, and it's cool, but pretentious. It's pretty pricey too, for AZ's standards. Once you get outside Scottsdale, like Tempe, Gilbert, Ahwatukee, it's insanely cheap. Can anyone suggest some nice apartment complexes? Hoogitup...thanks.

stay in NYC imo. aint nothing in the desert but new episodes of COPS and meth heads.

i just moved back from flagstaff. it was very pricy. gorgeous scenery, but not a place i could make my home in.
