pick a provider, and then pick a phone. ive heard the best overall about sprint and verizon. i have had cingular/at&t and t-mobile in the past, and both were shite.

I have t-mobile but my contract is over so I can go wherever. I will just find a phone I want, then go on to somewhere like [url]www.fatwallet.com[/url] and find the best deal for that phone (hopefully get it for free)...

^^ just to let you know t-mobile stopped selling the a630.... apparently the price point (i got mine when it first came out for $399) was too high and it didn't sell... i think verizon has an lg which is similiar to my motorola and cheaper...

I just got a brand new Samsung A950 with Verizon. Really impressed with it at the moment. A really good tool for checking out phones is [url]www.phonescoop.com[/url]. I use it at work all the time.

T-Mobile with Treo650 for me.... I was going to buy it on [URL="http://www.mobilebee.com"]www.mobilebee.com[/URL] but I'm taking a rain check on them because they have had a few spotty reviews. Though the reviews have been for new phones on the verge of release and being that the Treo 650 has been out for a while, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get lucky.

^^ i couldn't disagree more given my last samsung experience.... i had a samsung 635 that was an absolute piece of crap, was replaced with another and it was an absolute piece of crap x 2.... and don't even get me started on their tv's.... never again.

J.U.N.K. purchased a samsung slimfit hdtv for my bedroom.. replaced not once, not twice but three times in a seven month span before i forced circuit city to refund me the money. currently very happy with my sony.

well, i used to work for the biggest cell phone provider in canada (telus) and i have heard very few complaints about samsung phones. i've owned 3 of them myself (lost 2 of 'em), and have never had a single problem. they are reliable as hell, have good reception and battery life, and the flip phones always feel solid.

I love this phone...the service is great, the camera is unreal for a phone (2 MP that are actually good...i took my avatar pic with it) and with the memory card upgrade I can carry around a shitload of music

thanks ...yeah on top of the fact that right now i have 3 hour long dj mixes, a whole essential mix and 125 mp3s (and i dont have the biggest memory card), i really like that i can listen to the mp3 player for a whole day and the battery lasts. and setting mp3s as your ringtone is awesome. im in china and i had unclefucker for the longest time which is hilarious in crowded areas

Qwerty keyboards are for when you have your office emails on your phone.... you can't really write to your boss / business associate saying "R U FREE 4 LUNCH"

Kamal i can understand that but the use of qwerty style phones in the states is alot higher than europe. I can still send email's from my phone not by Txt Talk, I think most people use Blackberry's for what u talk of..
other than that i think people tell the office to go fuck themselves or just put a mobile connect card in the side of there laptops and send and recieve emails that way.

I've actually used both kinds of phones, with intelligent text and Qwerty keyboards.... and I'll tell you its a world of a diff. You can send professional looking emails rather than those wihtout punctuation marks, grammatical errors, etc. etc
I personally am a big fan of the qwerty keyboards.... 8)

It's not so good compare to other HTC devices. They started to use othe processors than previous, before they used 400 Mhz, now 195 Mhz, don't know why

i'd say it's for intelligent people who actually DO know how to spell rather than too dumb for predictive text... i love mine.

I don't think it has anything todo with that tbh, qwerty phones are fairly big and pointless. Most of my friends know txt talk anyway so why would i bother with grammer and spelling.
I can understand from a business point of view and even then most people use there Laptops + mobile connect cards.

I see your point about laptops + PC Connect.... but to be honest, its a pain in the butt to lug a laptop around at all times when all you can use your mobile to be informed of new / important business emails and just respond to acknowledging receipt and that you will get back to them shortly

I have been with Sprint Pcs for about 3 years now and I have like 2 more years in my contract because I keep signing up for specials like a moron. Has anyone switched from Sprint to another carrier. I like the service but hate the phones!!!

I HATE Sprint with a passion,
their service, both for the mobile + tech support.... I was with them in Massachusettes / NY (generally the north eastern corridor) and I just detested their coverage ... I couldn't access my voice mails once and missed an important business lunch with my previous boss and I got royally nailed at work for it. That's when I decided to leave them.
Their customer service was a joke too (at least back in 2001 - 2001). I left numerous complaints with them about not getting reception at work, at home, on the road and not ONCE did they take notes about it.
The day I decided to quit, they had the balls to tell meshit like "Oh but we dont see any notes on your account about bad service" and "Oh but if you go way in the back of Walmart, you wont get service with Verizon either", then they started firing all this crap at me at how lenient they have been with my billing because I have been late by X days in so many months and I should reconsider and all this nonsense... I told them I nearly got fired because my phone never got service and that too in NYC. They came back saying "well the buildings get in the way"
So in NYC its the buildings.... Interstate 95 through MASS / CT / NYC wasnt covered, never got coverage indoors......so what the heck was I paying them $40 / month for.
They set this nasty collection agency after me for the early termination fees who I just ignored and they disappeared after a while....
I absolutely hated my experience with Sprint and would never recommend them to anyone

ok, in my case i don't need a phone to spell for me... i can type a message faster on my motorola than i could before on my predictive text samsung or nokia. and my qwerty phone is the size of a credit card... it's neither big nor pointless as i use it on a constant basis for not only text messaging but im and email. now the crackberries and treo's i'm personally not a fan of... to big and bulky for my taste.
