Re: Commission Jobs...

depends who's eyes you see it through, I'm not much of a gambler and I'd like to have an XX take home for the bad months in addition to having an X% of commissions.

Re: Commission Jobs...

When i graduated from college, i was 100% commission medical sales for 7 years. It's the only way to go if you're not a lazy bastard. It keeps you motivated, plus, much more money.

Re: Commission Jobs...

commission job is my only alternative. your work ethic is the only limit.

salary jobs, are secure but have a ceiling and i dont like that...

i love my commissions :)

Re: Commission Jobs...

If you want to make money, go commissions. People who are commission (generally sales) earn 3x+ more than salary/hourly positions. There is more risk involved, but you get paid for that risk.

If you're into to the job security/weekly paycheck thing then stick with a salary.

A comfortable mix of the two is great way to go.
