quizno's sub
Re: quizno's sub
I loved it very much when a franchise opened in my town. Then I ate it like once every week for about two years and got tired of it. I noticed that the employees would turn the oven's speed up to move the sandwiches through, and I'd always get the Angus, and the meat would come through uncooked. I've also notices that after the store has been open for awhile, the employees just dont give a shit, and the quality went downhill. Yes, it beats the hell outta Subway, I'll give it that. Mr. Goodcents makes a killer deli sandwich, but there are only in the mid-west.
Re: quizno's sub
Yeah, I was like that at first but after a while the store in my town just got crappy. The sizes of the sandwiches I swear have got smaller along with the drink sizes. I'm for Mister Smith's all the way now. Cheap quality subs.

Re: quizno's sub
i live a few miles from subway headquarters and never thought i would see a quizno's out here. finally about a year ago they started to show up. but they are no where near as good as the ones i've had in the midwest. i've gone to three local locations and they all sucked. i think its a case of the people working there not ever seen it done right before?
that and they need another crazy commercial that makes me laugh.
Re: quizno's sub
Jersey Boyz. Local to KC, mainly
Jimmy Johns after that.
Re: quizno's sub
Hey Pickle, is Da Bronx on 37th (I think) still around? Man could they make a great sub there...

My old roomate use to work there. They do make killer sandwiches and I think they will be around forever.
Hey Pickle, is Da Bronx on 37th (I think) still around? Man could they make a great sub there...
Yes, still there. Across the street from Gilhouly's right? I was there a few months ago.

Don't remember Gilhouly's but it's been a while, and we're probably talking about the same place. Used to be a staple of mine when I was living in KC...
:)
Re: quizno's sub
yeah, across from Gilhouly's. I used to wake up every saturday, go 1 mile to Gilhouly's for some fresh Boulevard Wheat & pool with friends, then walk across the street to D'Bronx for pizza or a sandwich. haven't been to either in about a year :what
Re: quizno's sub
i think i go out in kc more than pickle does.... and i'm from stlouis. :p
Re: quizno's sub
your avatar looks ravishing, btw... :LoveYou:
Re: quizno's sub
dunn'it tho?
Re: quizno's sub
 I go out, but Gilhouly's is too far away now. If I ever make the drive from Raytown to Westport, I hit up Buzzard/Kellys/McCoys/Harpos/etc
shit, I spent $75 on alcohol last weekend
Re: quizno's sub
D'Bronx has good pizza. Better than Pizza 51 down on oak st. 51's pie didn't do much for me.
Re: quizno's sub
nothing in Kansas City beats Joe's Pizza in Kelly's
Re: quizno's sub
i'll have to try that.
McCoy's chicken finger basket, man, those "fingers" are the size of condors. Good wings too. Their brew is okay, liked 75th street better tho. 75th st. ipa. mmm.
damn. i'm hungry and i want a beer now. great.
Re: quizno's sub
ra ra ra
Re: quizno's sub
75th st is definitely better.
joe's is next door to kelly's. they have a window in Kelly's, too... perfect place. I was there 2 weeks ago and had like 14 drinks that night. Few slices of Joes always hits the spot at 3am after 14 drinks

shit man, 75 bucks will almost buy you like 6-8 beers out here. i gotta get back to kc. i can remember getting hammered at harpo's with quarter drafts. they were small plastic 8oz. cups but we used to order beer by the tray full :Cheerz:
best sandwich i've ever had is a philly steak from chartroose caboose 435 & metcalf in KC. gotta go there everytime i'm back home.
Re: quizno's sub
they just built one in my town and all i can say is this place is the biggest piece of shit poor excuse for a sub shop in the world. the food there shouldnt even be allowed to get served to prisoners. i hope that place fucking burns down. their products are of the worst quality, and the ordering process is infuriating. instead of telling you what i "dont" want on my sub as you make it in front of me, why don't you let me tell you what i "do" want on it. fuckers. fuck that place.
Re: quizno's sub
^^^^^ quizzno's, that is...

Re: quizno's sub
The quality varies with each franchise.
They are good but overpriced imho.
Re: quizno's sub

Re: quizno's sub

I like Mrs. Sub better :Naughty:
Re: quizno's sub
potbelly's imo. the wreck sandwich there is hard to beat. like jimmy johns too. i find quizno's pretty bearable. subway = absolute shite imo. everything there tastes like cardboard and plus they have inflicted the annoyance known as jared on the world. :x

Blimpee closed down all operations in Calgary 3-4 years ago. Many of the Blimpee locations were replaced by Quiznos.
Re: quizno's sub
switch Blimpee and Subway on that list and you have my list
