Former M?TLEY CR?E drummer Tommy Lee will combine his drumming and DJing in Ibiza this summer, according to Mix magazine. Tommy began a short U.S. tour of his drumming/DJing combo, which he now plans on taking over to "the devil's island." Lee told Mix, "I've been a fan of electronic music forever! Most people know me for making rock music, but my last two projects had techno and industrial elements on there, so I'm dying to get back into the scene because that's what I am. I've been a closet dance music fan for a long time. The people who know me know that I play that shit 24 hours a day."

With regards to his DJing gig, Lee recently told Vue Weekly, "I take this very seriously. I would hope that people who do come out [to see me] would have an open mind. The people who do get really excited when they see me play the drums and see me happy. I think we've put together some of the best music you?re going to hear in a club."

Ahhh, shit, he isnt coming anywhere in Florida. I need a good comedy show. Thats just typical, all the good up and coming dj's that should be playing out, and this ass hole has a tour because of his name alone.

ya know...the idea itself is really good.

a few months ago i heard Tortured Soul live, a live trio, singer/guitarist, drummer, laptop/keyboard player.

they followed my friend djing...and the drummer mixed in with his last few records, and it was quite amazing. Perfect blend of electronic and raw drum sounds until the last record faded out, and they came in full on groove.

Tommy Lee may suck, but if he was just drumming to a really good dj, i could entertain the idea.

I agree with the live drums accompanying a dj is nice sometimes. I have heard a few local dj's with people playing conga drums and bongos, sounded very nice when the person knows the music and recognises the breakdowns and that. But i have a feeling this shite will be painful to listen to. Remembering a similar topic from the last board, saying this guy was at Ultra acting an idiot running around playing with the mixer knobs and what not

Who really cares about tommy lee. I heard that he is supposed to play at a couple of eric morillo ibiza date also.

What a bunch of tools. When I got into this music, it was all about PLUR. If Tommy Lee wants to spin, so what? Nobody stopped most of the hacks that I have heard over the years in the clubs. So, no, I dont think any of us are mad because we are not booked in Ibiza. It's just a joke that it seems he his only claim to fame outside of Crue, was nailing Pam "I'll sleep with any washed up Rocker" Anderson. Then some rubbish band that went nowhere, and now "oh yeah, I've always been into electronic music, I listen to that shit it 24/7".. Really? who, who do you listen to? what a laugh...

And isnt an Anvil somewhat of a tool used by a blacksmith?

^^ correction: he got kicked out of the club because he was playing electronic music and the club wanted him to play top 40 music... THAT was why he got booted. i'm sure nobody in the club even noticed if his mixing was shite or not... especially if they were dying for some top 40 action.
