9. Doesn't mind that you do not answer emails when you think they are too stupid or a waste of time.

I am mine own boss. I own a print shop with 6 employees.

I must say that all but 3 and 9 are ok. But if 7 happens to often I would ask the employee to think about his drinking habits.

my boss passed away yesterday from pancreatic cancer :(

he only found out 3 months ago and he wnt that quick... sad. he was a grumpy mother fucker, but got the job done.

Yeah, all but the drinking part for me. I work in research which doesn't pay shit, but we can not show up when ever we want and just say we were at a conference or something. I have taken two weeks of vacation so far this year with out actually using a vacation day.

I really can't complain! I do surf [ms] all day. We can drink in the office after 5pm. I have a set of JBL speakers on my computer that I bought and jam it thru out the day. The old brokers just love that!! HA HA

No bonus though... but I am full commision so I make my bonus! :)

yeah, i really like my bosses. i have a set of two twin aging hippy bosses that are really good at what they do (have won several awards), but don't take it so seriously that everyone has to suffer. our work environment is fairly laid back yet extremely professional to the outsider (for example, one of our main clients is Yale and they love us). one of the bosses has got kind of a rock star mentalitly and i get along with him a little better. i got a bonus for the holiday, two week vaca. and even get paid by the hour in a job that is usually salary (thats cool because i always end up working over 40 hours a week). and i'm browsing [ms] all the time at work. in some ways the bosses are too cool. for example our monday meeting this week i asked about the deadline on a project i've been busting my ass on. one of the bosses says don't worry we have til mid march for that one. the other one who was sitting next to me says yeah don't worry plenty of time on that one and fake passes me a joint as he coughs into a chuckle. makes me wonder sometime how much they really know about me. in alot of ways work is one of the better things i have going for me at the moment. can't complain

My boss is awesome. she buys me drinks all the time and gives me awesome bonuses once a month. Actually we met over drinks and that is how i got the job. I love this place. :D

6 is because she really doesn´t make the decision, our CEO does.

And the other are just because we work in one of those open space officesm not because she´s against it. Still, she lets me listen to whatever music I want, as long as it´s not too loud.

And she´s got a big plus...she´s sooooo hot!

My boss does let me do a lot of those things listed, but she wouldn't tolerate browsing Mercuryserver or any other forums. Our IT department blocks MS and most other websites anyway.

She has a snooty attitude too and doesn't like to hear that she's wrong. But, no one's perfect, I'm sure she could bitch about me if she came on MS. So, I guess she's ok.

I wonder if you rather have male or female bosses. I currently have a female boss and she is nice to work with. I wouldn't say cool because she is just too different from me (a university professor). I've never been too close to a boss. I prefer to reach the point where I can do my job without having the boss on my back.

I'm my own boss currently, but I have idea wether I'll have to take up a job again with another company after september. Hope not, since all my previous bossed were fucking assholes that treated me (and the rest of the personell) like shit. In the first case I publicly told them what I thought of them (McDonalds, in front of all the customers in rush hour :D ), the second one would in the end not even let us have lunch (in a 6 or 8 hr working day!!), make us pay if did we did eat something and more shit like that.

I fucking hate 'bosses' now, I'm gonna make my own fortune and nobody will tell me what to do anymore. Too few people out there that realize that with power also comes responsability. Thanks to the previous assholes I have now developed some kind of anarchistic attitude, making it pretty damn hard to keep a job. Last one I lasted 5 weeks.

i could drink i could work with huge hangover i could drink a whole night with my boss as a companion i could play what i like i could be late (but i don't like that so i am rather punctuall) I've got paid for all after and before working hours I can use F word in exeption of any word

My Boss is ok, I know more about my job than him so he pretty much leaves me alone most of the time. Plus he has another 70 staff to worry about as half of them haven't a clue what they're doing.

i am also my own boss. i can do alot of those things, but usually keep relatively normal working hours. & can surf ms as time & projects permits.
