Grossed Me Out

I went to a Chinese restaurant over the new year period - it was good, not expensive but the food was decent - I had two helpings of the crispy duck.

Now I hear that the environmental inspectors went in there last weekend and found three greyhounds in the deep freeze. What's more is it's common for these to be passed off as crispy duck. AAAgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! :Puke Pon:

I hope those fuckers get shut down forever.

in china, dog and cat are listed on the menu, and actually cost more than beef or chicken. they wont substitute a dog for duck or beef beacuse it actually costs more to raise a dog per pound than it does a cow.

having had tried both, there really is no difference...its only in the perception. having said that, i still cant tolerate eating dog, just because they are smart enough to know whats going on. cat, on the other hand, i couldnt give a shit about.

If I was stranded with my dogs, hungry and looking for food I can almost damn well guarantee you I'd feed my pups first before me.... Ok, we'd definitely share but I'm not eating my dogs.... No amount of therapy would ever repair me, ever....

man i eat chinese about 2-3 times a month. maybe less?! anyway, i always joke about the texture of the "chicken" dishes that i order. saying: "man this is some good dog" but after reading this thread, i may not ever order anything besides rice from one of those dime-a-dozen chinese joints again.

the local newspaper here does food inspection reviews... they post results in the paper, with a score of 20 or higher means that they are in grave danger of being shut down.
