last year was hell trying to get in we got there at 11:45 and wait in line for over an hour.........had pre-sale tixs and still had to stand in line with the kids.
i hope crobar has got there shit together

i was making plans to go when we got a phone call this morning. my bf's son had a quad accident two weeks ago and split open his whole knee, got stiches and then two days ago had them removed since the skin was growing over them. Well they werent ready to be out but they had no choice, told him to be taking it easy and no activities...well last night he went to go downstairs to feed his rabbits when he fell down the flight of stairs and had to go to the ER, his wound re-opened plus he broke his knee and they cant even cast it because the wound needs air. they dont know what to do. were going to a orthopedic doctor shortly.
needless to say i cant go damn it! :(:(:(

Fuck yeah he fucking hit that shit like Sasha does.... Work that pussy cunty no-nonsense.... there were some "ehh" times, but everything was worth the 1 hour 45 minutes of Sasha twisted insanity boom bang fuck you yes!
MS was presentin, Erin (Diskofreak) and myself were the only two at the end that I know of.... But Daveman, Rubyraks, and theSightless were in attendance too.
Glad we got there at 3:45a cause we were told we missed nuthin much at all, and the crowd was tragic then...
The newest and most incredible underground space in NYC is not so much small as it is hidden and fucking unbelievable. There is a fraggle rock cave with a waterfall and the rock is all brown soft fur like a teddy bear, a great sound system on a damn big floor that seems to be too big to possibly fit in the building, and with Jason Jollins resident friday nights (afterhours) and Pete Bones rockin it last night... Glad we went there first, but remember.... SASHA YES!

Sasha was in true form and seemed to be in good spirit. the crowd was full of energy. its amazing to see that most of the people still at the club at 7am were fully rocking out. it does help to pull out some classic tracks from communicate to get the crowd going.
i should get some sleep. i will try to post a video of the night soon.

Sean knows that I dont give him shit unless he commands it out of neccesity or in a situation where someone will and I just go first so I can take the credit :)
At digweed in September he asked me why I wasnt giving him shite, and I told him that he wasn't doing anything to call him out on, and thinking back, that was a one time occurance. And besides, everyone including Sean knows he's 67% asshole and 100% republican.... and I think he's still on my good side, but bein a frat boy of sorts a little too much for me to not comment on it :)

really really good. more atmospheric than he has played in a long time. kinda getting back to the deeper choons and mixing. didnt hear one studder mix from ableton at all. very much going back to the older form.

the set was full of good tracks but a little all over the place. he never let up on his driving pace. the bass lines he is pulling outta that machine of his are mind numbing, but the greatness of his incredibly long mixes is killed when he mixes a track into intense white noise into a new track a few seconds later. this wasn't the most amazing set i've seen sasha dj, but overall the his set was bass pumping maddness. good show.

Sean.... you didnt do anything in particular, just a series of doofy things like punching people in the balls and then cheering and bragging about it.... I'm not pissed or anything, just amused yet irritated by the asinine political/social comments but you didn't do anything spiteful so don't sweat it ( perhaps you asking me to leave LOVE early like 5 times when I said not until 3:30 no matter what.... that got annoying, but it's nothing to dwell on for you or myself so.... fahgedda-bowdit.

sounds alot like the set I head him play in MTL last June, just one bumping bassline after another. I can't believe be didn't do the Ableton studder, he loves that move!! Can't say I'm a big fan so that is good news, maybe the novelty of the new toy has worn off and he is merging it in with his traditional style. Sorry I missed it but I will be at the next one (yeah, yeah... ;) )

i'm working on it. i'm uploading a 46mb video now, but have slow upload speeds. sux. i recorded nearly a gig of video with sound (but its mainly dark and the sound quality is crap). when i'm at work monday i'll have a decent connection speed and i'll post a couple of the non edited videos.

got a pic of fraggle rock cave. its a tight space so its hard to photograph but this is a shot from inside of the double decker fake fur lined cubby holes that all the people were "relaxing in" pointed up at the ceiling and waterfall wall. crazy little room seperated off the bar area by a cooling waterfall. i sure could have used a space like this on several clubbin nights. I consider myself a huge Sasha fan(have seen him 30 or so times), and the other night was by far the worst I have ever heard from him. His programing was horrible, the light coordination was terrible, it was ridiculously crowded for a majority of the night with the 18 and under crowd. Sasha hardly looked up from the computer.
Did i mention the lighting sucked?
Honestly i was expecting him to drop cowpander at some point.
