They kept announcing on the mikes that if you were parked on Milwaukee Ave. (which intersects Division) to move your car before 3am...however, since they never mentioned anything about Division, everyone on Division (including Rich, who promotes the night) got towed...

Re: Who let the BLOGS out?

we noted a celebrity approaching the DJ Booth…with a record bag in tow!?!?

“Is that Quentin Tarantino?” I asked.

							“Looks like him.”

							“No way…he spins?”

LOL...

Re: Who Let The BLOGS Out?

That part about the tool making Jokenfold and Tiesticle and hippity hop requests is priceless...:D Once my set was interrupted to play some dumbass folk song which was quite popular with the intellectually and socially lesser developed ghetto part of the locals...I didn't quit, but I should have picked up my records and left.

Are you still totally on vinyl btw, or alternating with cd's as well?

I would say these days I'm 80% vinyl, 20% cd...I have nothing against cds but prefer vinyl...also been busy integrating my set-up to Serato (the Rane version of Final Scratch)...as well as buying a PVDJ Grabber w/ my tax return so I plan to "up my game" in the coming months...

Re: Who Let The BLOGS Out?

Teehee...sounds good! I've heard some positive feedback on Serato, actualy better than final scratch in general. I myself am now gonna learn Ableton to bridge the (probably) long gap between vinyl and CD's...sold my decks this week and am now going to save up for a pair of CDJ-800 MKII's and maybe an A&H Xone:32, or another Ecler...they rock! I just know that mixing with my hands is the way to go, i could never stay totally digital. Serato is a perfect solution i guess, though if i go digital i figured i might just as well switch to cd's anyway.

There's nothing that beats the feel of vinyl though IMO...manipulating it with your hands and having full control, not to mention that you can 'read' it visually and mix records you've never heard before as well :D
