Hi Guys

We've deliberated this as a team and have decided to implement a rule to have "Safe for Work" avatars. Of late, the quality of avatars has gone from bad to carnal and the MS team would appreciate if you can take the necessary steps and fix your avatars (if you have an avatar that's NSFW). Some of us at work are nearly terrified to think that we might get caught with a pair of boobies or butts on our screens (me included :p ) and especially the animated ones. :Who:

I know we have an option to turn off avatars and signatures as a personal preference but it pretty much ruins the point having an avatar in any case.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter.

Thanks K, that is actually a good rule to put into effect. That is all I need is to get caught looking on this site and there is some girl rubbing herself. I am sure that will go over real well with the boss.

fair enough, but how much is too much and vice versa. lets take yao's avitar of the two girls kissing? "not that there is anything wrong with that", but even that is something that i wouldn't want my coworkers to see?

this is where the issue becomes sensitive..... where do we draw the line.... Yao's I reckon is in that grey area where its too strict vs. being unfair..... though I'm certiain he wont mind editing it if asked nicely :p

I'm glad you guys are doing that. I know people should be able to put up whatever they want, but it should be a bit tasteful. I'm not too much into seeing a nice set of breasts working their way in a corner of my screen while I'm trying to read someone's post.

The avatars idea is a good one, but I can't help but laugh...didn't this same situation play itself out like 3 years ago?? I remember a big thing about avatars right after I first joined. Like it's on a 3 year cycle or something. :lol:
