Fuck you James Zabiela!

Fuck you for coming to LA. Fuck you for completely rocking Spundae last night! Fuck you for making me loose all interest in DJs who merely "mix". Fuck you for melding tech-house, prog house and breaks like i've never heard before! Fuck you for actually ENJOYING being at the club and feeding off the energy of the crowd. Fuck you for bringing out all the class clubheads in the LA scene for one night.

Yeah, fuck you you James Zabiela! :twisted: :RockOn:

dude that was one of the worst nights of my life.... I didn't get to see but 10 minutes of his set, the rest was spent chasing my girlfriend around and sitting next to her as she got sick &******************
the rest was spent chasing my girlfriend around and sitting next to her as she got sick from taking a bad pill..
I remember going to the Warped Tour about 10 years ago. All I wanted to do was see Lagwagon...I sat through the whole thing just chillin waiting for them to take the stage. The announcement comes that they'll be on the main stage in 5 minutes, then my gf at the time informs me that she's out of feminine hygeine products and we have to leave to go to the store. Was definitely one of the worst days of my life (at the time). If I would've known what she was going to do to me 5 years later I would've told her to walk her slutty ass to Eckerd's and find a ride home.

Sorry, I'll pop a Xanax.

^^ :shock: bro, there comes a time when a woman has to go on her own and take care of her business. not to sound insensitive, but if my girl were trying to make me leave a show for my fav act/dj for that, i'd have to tell her NO.

that's a wee bit insensitive isn't it?

why not come to a common ground instead of making her out to be the bad guy.

Re:: Fuck You James Zabiela

i would have to say a middle ground would be...

let's just sit here (where the music is) and chill out together. get some water... and just mellow into the sounds.

Re:: Fuck You James Zabiela

We closed the place out. I had that priceless moment at the end of the night when you are completely sober, then all the lights go on and you see how just cracked out everyone around you is... and you're glad you're not them! Although you wished you were them at around midnight, what a difference 5 hours make. :D I had to hear how great and cute he was on the way home. I told my wife he looked like a stoner, and I didn't find him attarctive.

hey, that sound fine to me, in fact, I would have loved to sit and chill out. I am always for a middle groud, but she refused to even talk to me to tell me what was the matter, and wouldn't budge for over an hour, and before that, I got up to go to the bathroom and she just moved somewhere else and didn't come back for 20 minutes(to the place she was when I went to the bathroom).. Then she told be someone put something in her drink (which I knew was impossible since I sat next to her the entire time she was drinking, and she had already told me her friend had put a pill in her mouth. All this after her promising never to take any pills again (she gets kind of mean when she does)).

All of this, and it got even worse later (trust me)!! All that and she doesn't even remember any of it.

Yea, I somehow don't feel I was being insensitive.

Sorry for the rant. Also, nice to see you Majik, sorry we couldn't talk more!

#225102Post 29 of 65

ps, her dog just died this morning.

I never wanted any drama in my life. All I ever wanted was someone to go and relax and listen to some good DJ's with. It's a shame I've never met anyone (guy or girl) that I can go do that with. None of my friends growning or in school or through work ever liked electronic music (or the few that did would never go out).

Sorry for this, a worse rant.

being i nice guy is good, so am i. but find someone that deserves it imo. she took pills after promising she wouldn't ran out on you the moment you leave. (prob out looking for pills or something). she doesn't talk to you. i would be quite simple for me. i would say have fun sitting here, see you in the morning or something. and make sure i'm having a blast. :roll:

I prefer partying on my own. You have nothing to worry about but yourself (even this can be hard enough on certain occassions :wink: )and you can let yourself loose. I think almost all the events which I visited with a girlfriend were a lot worse than when I was partying on my own. 8) I mean, there can be certain exceptions, but still I would never take a girlfriend with me to go listen to my favourite DJ...

#225115Post 32 of 65

that's true, the times I have gone out by myself, I had a great time. I didn't have to cater to anyone elses needs.

#225117Post 33 of 65

Re:: Fuck You James Zabiela

sorry to hear that ghostridden. definately sounds like you did all you could.. apologies for the insensitivity.

hopefully next time will be better.
that's true, the times I have gone out by myself, I had a great time. I didn't have to cater to anyone elses needs.
My point exactly... Partners (male or female) need attention. There are very few couples who can party together without worryying about each other (or fighting/arguing). At least to my knowledge and expirience. It's not that you should go everywhere on your own, but only when you really want to have fun, leave her behind... :wink:

i knew that would roust your feathers. im not a bad guy. but if my girl asked me to leave a digweed party for tampons, i'd have to say: "FUCK NO baby, you know where the store is."

if that makes me an asshole, then so be it. but here's something to think about:

if i were trying to make you leave a party because i needed to buy some film, or smoke a joint, or whateverthefuck, would you happily leave with me? i doubt it. we're all adults here and can take care of our most personal of personal hygiene needs ALONE.

it would take a lot more than a need for tampons to get me to leave a digweed party.

:NotMe:

I can only quote Joe Jackson..."Don't you know that it's different for girls"

People look at me strange if I just go to the movies alone. If me or pretty much any other woman walks into a night club alone people would think she's a slag. :Honest:

#225200Post 37 of 65

Re:: Fuck You James Zabiela

My way of thinking: your girlfriend doesn't deserve to be there with you, groffhibbitz. I'm a heavy smoker, so I always have a spare pack of cigarettes and a spare lighter in my bag (every morning, leaving home, I put a new pack in my bag). I'm a precaution taker, so I always have a bill (equivalent to 30$) hiden somewhere in my clouths. And so on ... Isn't it reasonably fair that the "need for tampons" will come at previsible time? Isn't it normal that a girl should have them handy? For me, "the need" that your girlfriend had is a fake one. If you were important to her, she would act otherwise. Next time go alone, bro. Returning to the principal reason of this post: JZ is GREAT, and I say it after the fabulous liveset he gave at Kristal@Bucharest on April, that for me puts him on the top10.
