He fcuking rocked!!! The guy was dressed like he was going Duck hunting except it was all Bathing Ape gear... right down to the Rolex Daytona replica. He only beat matched about 5 tracks. BUT his programming was right on. I think I scared the poor guy, he said he hadn't slept in days. Before I could say anything else he just walked away... Class!!! James Holden looked like he hadn' t seen the sun in DECADES. Top night @ Avalon. :D

Re:: James Lavelle

Oh I forgot, Holden was great. Some guy went up to the mixer and plugged in his little Sony recording thing and hid it. Nobody did anything, so someone recorded his set. :D

lavelle made his first million $$$ before he was 21. i really dont think his watch is a fake. He lives in a different world that we do. When I spoke with him on Wednesday and asked about the show with James Holden he said "Who is James Holden" He wasnt kidding. Bad mouth the guy all you want but he is a sick producer with mad money who I sure doesnt give two shits what anyone thinks :WinkNSmi:

#223957Post 17 of 23

Btw... hadnt seen the sun? who has??? :)

#223965Post 18 of 23

my favorite is how detailed you were in describing his attire...

JL he has been rocking Bape before peeps in the US knew what Bape was... unless you were fashion forward like a select few.

sidenote : the black guy from NERD and Bape have started another clothing company call Billionaire Boys Club... how rich is that! :wink:

Re:: James Lavelle

James Holden rocked the place till 3:15 am. Lavelle was good, yeah no beat matching, but who cares...good, not great, but he set the tone for Holden.

Any chance of getting a Holden track list....I can't spot shit myself....

Re:: James Lavelle

Nerver seen him live (lavelle) but i know both of those global underground disc's were off the hook!!! Love breaks always will....but will never turn from the dark side of deep progressive... What was that????

#224221Post 21 of 23

I digged lavelle's first GU a lot, the second one i thought it was pretty shitty although i never really gave it more than one listen, supossedly sounds grow on you...whatever

lavelle live wise...well he played here in lima not too long ago, didn't like it too much, he sounded like a top 100 dj...maybe he underated the crowd..but i thought he sucked

Replica meaning real Bathing Ape that looks just like the Rolex Daytona. I'm just a watch freak that's why I know.
