tiesto - has released from what i've heard to be 2 cds under his name who were mixed by someone else for him. one being a mix mag cd. IF that is true, then you begin to wonder if there are others.

When your name becomes a brand there are different factors involved. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many more.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

#1 - Dont insult my faggot ass by associating me with any pussy that gets offended by getting mooned by a celebrity that is famous for basically that very thing, and then uses the word WORM as a derogatory term to describe them. If a bare ass on a dancefloor is offensive to a DJ, then its safe to say that I need not worry if I am missing out on any "parties".

#2 - "judge jules - has openly admitted to using tracks from soul seek on the air and during live sets." Um, so? I am sure if the convenience factor were the same and he could buy it he would, otherwise why admit it on the radio and in print?

#3- "do we really need to recall the story of why sasha doesnt play vinyl anymore?" I am not sure what argument you are going for on this one? I didnt realize that it became a story instead of a reason, or choice I should say...

#4- I have actually heard some great live sets by all of the above ( except for tiesto and morillo of naturally. morillo is actually tiger woods by night I think )

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

my entire point was some of these guys have done things that might not sit well with certain people, and therefore might have a negative opinion towards them, and it would be within reason. that's all dude.

carry on.

we could pick out all the trainwrecks (ie. whenever he is too busy doing the jesus-parting-the-waters pose to bother paying attention). i dont care what the guy plays, i dont like him cause he isnt professional. show up, put some effort in, make people dance...dont act like you created the earth in 7 days.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

3d--- the insult comment was directed generally to anyone who called tiesto a mary... not at you... sorry for any confusion there.

The important thing to remember is this.... whenever anyone ever mentions being excited about tiesto in general or about going to see him, we get to give that silent look of disgust/disbelief/disinterest and be able to back ourselves up with a simple ," I see....." and then quickly change the subject, or ask what it's like to be surrounded by a tiesto crowd like a racist asking about how a trip to Harlem went.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

You can pick detrimental fault with any dj I think, even digweed or sasha (i.e. digweed playing every bedrock release - i know he has to promote the tracks, but if they are crap then they are crap).

Jules has done loads for the scene - he got me into it, and probably thousands more. I dont think there are many people who 'start out' by listening to sasha, burridge etc.

Tong - in the late 90's was certainly the most important man in dance music full stop.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

i think the only problem with digweed was that he didnt switch to minimal tech soon enough!!:WinkNSmi:

and i never ripped on any of these guys earlier, i was just chiming in that some of the hate is not unwarranted/bandwagon, although much of it is. it's funny that people on here will bash tiesto and the other trancers but then tell me how awesome GU28 with Nick Warren was or how they like someone like Benz and MD. Nothing wrong with those guys but musically they are pretty much trancers themselves....what gives? seems like a bad case of closet trancing to me.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

I have no fear of acknowledging that I really love trance, but not so much of the variety that has made the word taboo these days. Nick warren trance is a completely different spproach than Tiesto trance, not even bringing the crowds that come attached to either into play. I dont care if someone is very "scene" or if someone is just out to have fun, as long as they are there for the music, know how to enjoy themselves and yet still have courtesy for those around them. I get very excited to see a lot of DJ's, I am there to listen to them first and if I get to say hello thats great, but jumping up and down and screaming their name the entire night is something I'd rather do in bed afterwards, not on the dancefloor.

I have no idea what my point is other than dancefloor energy and my pet peeves surrounding the issue. Oye, wednesday.

Re: Rodman?s On-Stage Tiesto Attack

I doubt very much Crobar threw him out. He always goes to their club in Miami, too. He is known for that kind of behavior.

Rodman's former employee (of his own night club on the west coast when he had it), helped build Crobar/Miami.....so I would think they are on somewhat of an intimate level.
