hard to say, alot of quality released this year but im gonna have to go w/ alex smoke - incommunicado but that album for me is a tie with spectral sounds vol. 1

I thought Folder's album was somewhat anti-climatic to be honest. I had expected something more ... impactful based on his previous productions.

I don't really have a favorite album, but I do like Nick Warren's GU he did. The first disc is the one I listen to the most.

pole folder zero gold didnt do anything for me, a few quality tracks on there, but i thought the album was overall trying to be something it isnt.

I will agree with you on that one. Great album. I also liked alex smoke's album as well. Still listen to both of these on a regular basis.

Damn I dont listen to nearly enough acutal albums.

The only one I can think of that I picked up this year was Pole Folder's Zero Gold, and like others said there were some high quality tracks but the overall feel of the album tried to be something it isn't, and failed in the end.

Therefore I have no album of the year and absolutely nothing to contribute to this thread!

Artist album wise I liked Dousk' s D.Y.I. album a lot and Pole Folder's album is good as well...you only need to let yourself loose from what you expect from both DJ's. There are some excellent tracks on both albums but some songs just don't reflect what we know from them..that?s all. There have also been a few good compilations out this year....Matthew Dekay's Trousey is very good, I also didn't regret to buy a copy of Hernan's Renaissance Masters Vol. 2 though it couldn't top the 1st release of this series.

Zero Gold did it for me. Very unique sound especially the female vocal tracks.

Now for my second album (dont laugh now - showing a lot of balls here by risking getting booted out of here) I enjoyed Madonna's new one. My small kids contributed to this one otherwise I would never have gotten it, but I do recommend giving it a proper listen.
