I think MBenz full size cars are much better than BMW. Small cars definately go to BMW. Those new top end MB are crazy. the new S600 are V12 twin turbo, something like 540 torque. nice cars are nice cars though

the 7 series bmw's have too many issues with them. Mbenz is the way to go if your looking for a big luxuary car and the new S class looks bad ass

I'm a big top gear fan, but I'll cut this guy some slack as he didn't even start the car so obviously he is not evaluating them as a whole, just looking at it from a very CNET perspective of their tech, which is something most other review completely neglect. Interesting that he called their nav one of the best, that is the first postitive review I've heard about iDrive from anybody.
That Beemer is impressive, but I agree with the above comment, they do small cars best. E36 M3 :RockOn:

CNET sucks. Top Gear is awesome.
I not only love how they go over the cars features from a realistic, knowledgable perspective, but they also pound on them and tell you how they really feel.

Perhaps you should pick up a Consumer Reports magazine once in awhile then, because in the last 5 years, MBenz has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY in quality ratings. Blame Chrysler.

You can't "blame Chysler" when it was the Germans running the company. I agree the merger has been better for the American brand than Benz, but IMO Mercedes lost the plot when they switched from making over engineered tanks to these techno gizmo packed pieces of shit. They started chasing the Japs and it killed them because nobody can do electronics like them, especially Germans.

Its faster than a Ferrari 360 and goes 200+mph..

HAHA. 700plus hp suv, a bit excessive. I'll settle for a Turbo, or even an S.
M5's are ultimate drool worthy. I finally saw one on the street here in the states a few weeks ago. The M6 is hot too, but i'm guessing those are a year away, probably more stateside.

Yeah its a great site... theres a real power race going on at the moment in germany.
I guess you guys are alittle behind on the current episodes of top gear... Clarkson reviewed the new Audi RS4 last week and he said it was awesome... Prob better than the M3.. Check it...
I also saw an M6 in Dublin too.. They are so sweet... same engine as the M5...

The Rs6 Is one of the coolest car's ever... I know Audi have got another one planned..
Considering the power race at the moment id say the Rs6 will be pushing 500+ consideriing the Rs4 is 417...

various rumors floating around, it's a logical choice because as you point out they must now top the M5 and already have a motor in house with the capability to do just that
They will also be making a sports car aimed at the 911 based on the Le Mans show car (looks identical). Add in the new SUV and Audi will finally have a complete product line instead of just 3 sedans/wagons
