First of all, i'm a huge dousk fan. According to this:

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Dousk

He's released:

Life Under/Mute Lovelasting/Tengaloop Pa Dida/The Novel and Bummer, All About You, & Estrange on various compilations.

So, I did a search and all these tracks came up:

Aeon Apnea Bubbles Chilli Chrysalis Dark Impulse Deep Breathing Domenica Green Waters (Part 1) Green Waters (Part 2) Jameira Mayfare Nausea Reachin' Retrofelt Rewind Your Mind Scale (Blue Haze Remix) Snowcone Something Special Soulwinter Stars (Stef Vrolijk Remix) Streamer (Moodsetting Version) Streamer The Sunrise Vertigo Wrist Slap (Kasey Taylor & Karlos Elizondo Re-Edit)

Are these real tracks by Dousk? Does he have an album coming out? Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light on the thread.

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

You forgot his work as JDK (Jose Zamora/Dousk/Chris Nemmo)...... I'm sure there's a few other aliases and collaborations as well. Some of those tracks I've never heard of but that's not saying much.

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

being the president of his fanclub, ill say it, Dousk rocks, chrysallis is a monster tune. for the above, yeah they are all dousk tunes. missing a few though, stars was also remixed by WoW.

he is based out of greece. jose zamora isnt an alias, its a production partner(JDK).

this past year he has done two monster remixes tilt-12 and benz and MD- mar del plata. oh yeah, that sick space maneouvers remix. wristslap is wicked one to hutn down.

count on a 4 song LP soon too from what i have heard.

monster deep grooves. his greenwater EP has been blowing out subwoofers for awhile. deepest and fullest bass i have ever heard. labels to keep an eye one are lost language, then bedrock, then low riders i beleive if things arent delayed.

audio mix can be foundhere--- http://www.therapymusic.co.uk/greece/dousk.htm
As far as i know, some of those tracks you mentioned are unreleased!
So, is releasing unreleased tracks on the internet is a way to promote a producers work? Is this a new trend that producers are taking?
so youre not that fan to be asking this :NotMe:, besides you forgot to mention his remixes :AssKicki:
well, i'm not president of his fanclub like "sightless", but i would say i'm an avid folower; as for his remixes, i was asking about his original work and not his remixes (although he remixes are pretty dam wicked too) :)
Theres allways a few fake Dousks going round too.......
yeah, that's what i heard, but i wish i could find out which tracks are fake and which ones are truly original tracks. Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

Dousk is an amazing DJ/Producer. He has receiently done some amazing work. Some of which, as some have mentioned remains unreleased. However, I give you my word, as I have heard many of his unreleased projects, he is about to take it to another level.

Props D-

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

Dousk is my absolute favorite producer. Always high quality work. Everytime I hear one of his works I get inspired to start producing (not that I'm any good).

BTW Busmekanik is another one of his tracks.

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

I just have to dig this thread up to say...

His new track "Estrange" on Vapour is one of the most sublime and elegant tracks I have heard in a damn long while. This is the sort of track that will restore my faith in deep, dark progressive and put me on a kick for several months. Even better than the "Mar del Plata" remix, IMO, which was my favorite track of his previously.

:LoveYou:

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

Just recieved my copy of DIY today. Fucking amazing! I urge you all to go out and buy a copy. Its somewhat mellow but brilliant. 5/5 IMO. Makes me want to fire up my production programs and get to work.

Alot of his tracks have the same general sound to them, but in a good way, very high quality sounds. Its between Florence and Page Up for my favorites.

Not much of a Dousk president if you cant recognise that Scale is a Clubbervision track and that 'Stars' was actually a track by Dusk and not Dousk.

Theres another DUSK - deep breath wich lot of people have as DOUSK, not the same producer, i think he is from germany

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

One thing I will say is that some of his tracks are a little on the long side i.e. pa dida or mute, can maybe make a crowd lose interest

Re: Dousk & where did these tracks come from?

Dousk - D.I.Y. is indeed the best album that i've heard in 2005 / 2006!!!!!

A lot of melodic and hypnotizing sounds that takes your mood up to a higher state of consciousness lol.

The basses he uses in all his records are the best i've heard recently in prog house/trance (deep, sometimes a bit heavy but always very clear...)
Theres another DUSK - deep breath wich lot of people have as DOUSK, not the same producer, i think he is from germany
I´ve just noticed this thread and I´d like to take the opportunity to make this a bit clearer.

The Dusk you are talking about is actually named DJ Dusk, and that track is called "Deep Breathing". I have the honour of counting Dusk as my friend, and I actually named that track!

It´s the B-side to "Something Special", his 1st for Exquizi-tech , and both tracks got some airplay from people like Pappa and Lawler. "Something Special" is a beautiful track, with an awesome sounding clean electric guitar sound, I highly reccomend it.

DJ Dusk is a Spanish DJ from Madrid, with whom I lived and worked for few months in 2004. I actually recorded a few vocals for him while I was there, which I still hope I will listen to in a club some day.

It is true, that some of his tracks are mislabeled as being by Dousk.

Also from Dusk, check out "Noi-Tan", his latest release, which actually got to Nr. 7 on the Balance pool chart.

Check out his bio, written by me : http://www.thedjlist.com/djs/DUSK/

And sorry for the plug!
