Was anyone else here at Black&Blue in Montreal the weekend of Oct11th and heard Danny Tenaglia? He was the headliner set (though Chus & Cabellos, and later Victor Calderone at Stereo were the highlights for me). There are 'rumours' going around that Danny did not allow the B&Blue organizers to have their BBCM dancers perform during his set, nor did he allow flaggers or poi-folk on stage. Just wondering if anyone here knows that that's true... though he was technically fantastic on the mixers, the energy of his set for the first half (until 8am) just wasn't there for me...

sounds like something tanaglia would do...the guy is uptight as hell about his shows.

Well, I'm betting the BBCM won't be having him back next year... though the BBCM tries to pick DJs that can play for both the 'rave' and 'circuit' crowds, Danny definitely wasn't the one to do that this year.... Victor Calderone on the other hand at the Recovery Party the night after that same weekend at Stereo.... WOW. That was incredible.

More importantly, does anyone know if this set is around the horn? I have not heard any new Danny in a while. Who really cares what the guy does while he spins, as long as he spins and rocks the place.

That looked like a crazy party, nice to see they are back in Olympic Stadium, next year for sure!! I ran into a couple of friends that went to Black & Blue and said it was amazing, but never told me what DJ's they enjoyed the most, hopefully I'll get the scoop from them this upcoming weekend

Danny is all about the music, so if he did not allow any dancers or some kind of a circus act to go on while he was playing i am not surprised. He wants his fans on the dance floor at all times to hear and feel the music and that is why he did not want the "dancers" to interrupt what his fans were feeling on the dance floor at that moment.
I love going to hear him play. it gets better and better every time i go. He gets so into it and so does the crowd. Last time i saw him he had the whole crowd singing along with the music. In fact i am going to see him this Friday 28th at Spirit, NYC.

Yeah, I hope they will be in the Stadium again from now on too. i went last year as well when they tried it at the Convention Centre, and having to walk 15mins just to get to the bathrooms on the other side of the centre was a huge pain.
