I'll set it to 10, if it needs changed, let me know. Also, for those who may still be facing issues with posting and timeouts etc., please try clearing your cookies / cache / history and let me know.

#1930037Post 42 of 69

Also reduced the time limit between posts down to half.

Hello Kamal, thanks for keeping MS alive. 10 chars for topic title is too small. I.E. for transitions, Lellone used title like "Transitions 1029 ● John Digweed with a guest mix Spencer Brown" which is 62 chars long.

#1930044Post 44 of 69

Yeah it needs at least 70.

#1930070Post 45 of 69

it's almost impossible to keep posting on MS. Every time I want to log in I get that "server is too busy" message.

On top of that, the limited number of characters in the titles is impractical. I didn't want to make a post of just complaints but look at the number of posts created lately, hardly anyone posts or can log in anymore.

I appreciate the efforts you make to keep MS alive. But if this doesn't improve, I don't know how much longer it will survive.

#1930071Post 46 of 69

Yeah its the first time i am able to open forum without that busy error since long time

been getting that for months and can't name threads correctly either.

#1930078Post 48 of 69

Should I remove the min title character requirement? I kept saying should be fixed and it didn't cause a runaway scrip on MS was causing the server to crawl to its knees. I had to get a pro involved and they said they've resolved it. Hopefully for good this time.

#1930099Post 53 of 69

Now the limit is 2.

#1930101Post 54 of 69

I didnt set that in the admin panel, it maybe something in the DB. It makes sense, don't want a bunch of empty thread titles. For what?

#1930102Post 55 of 69

It must be fixed.

#1930111Post 56 of 69

I lost all my hopes with [ms].

#1930112Post 57 of 69

^^^^^ please dont feel that way, youre a huge part of what makes this thing great. Let Kamal get all the kinks out and lets enjoy another 22+ years. We need you man, you provide the best downloads of Transitions, I know I can trust the sound quality and timeliness of what I am getting. Im just glad [ms] is back after being down alot this year, this is the best and frankly only place for me to find like minded people who love and share this kind of music. Almost my whole library of music comes from here and people like djlellone, so for that I am ultimately and eternally thankful. Please stick around and keep doing what you do, it brings alot of joy to us all and myself for sure.

#1930115Post 58 of 69

Yeah, it will be fixed in the end, hang on.

#1930129Post 59 of 69

Are you'll still having intermittent problems?

THere's so many fuckin variables on the server since Q1 because Support and updates for the version of CentOS Linux which we are using and is MS's backbone, is due to or may have expired this year. So I had to migrate to a different distro of Linux (I never in my fucking life thought I could've pulled it off the web) and that opened up the intermediate webserver to a hammering new collection of features and updates available not only for the webserver, but to what vb 6 (remember we came from vb 4.2 or something) was bringing to the table. ALL these automated scripts started self executing and killing the server load. It's like whack-a-mole, I'm waiting for the next surprise to pop up not knowing what updates the server / intermediate server will bring that cause vb to take off on a new script again.

It's all South Indian music to me LOL.

glad its back. thanks for all you hard efforts kamal.

#1930142Post 61 of 69

So glad MS is back! Forever grateful for everything this site has done for me throughout the years.

Hoping it's never needed, but is there a back up site/discord/anything just in case site ever goes down? I was so lost without it...no idea what was going on.

#1930144Post 62 of 69

Nope, in that might be its best resurrection from the ashes.

#1930183Post 63 of 69

running like a champ now....nice to have it back.

#1930202Post 64 of 69
