Re: Recording mp3 only up to 2GB ?

sounds as though it was recording as a wave file. that happned to me using wave lab, you have to specify recording as an mp3.

Re: Recording mp3 only up to 2GB ?

i'm pretty sure it stopped because your computer probably ran out of space... because when you are recording it is being saved to your hd as a wave, however after you are done recording you can of course choose to save it as an mp3.

Re: Recording mp3 only up to 2GB ?

The only thing that might have killed his program is that the program he was using wasn't writing it out to disk but was instead keeping it all in memory which would definately put a 2GB limit on the recording size. Otherwise I think the smallest file size on windows is 4GB on Fat32 and 16 systems.

Re: Recording mp3 only up to 2GB ?

i'm with the others on saying it was not mp3 but wav . 320kbps gives round about the ideal sound quality .. u need a serious sound system and a perfect ear to detect any drop in quality at that level .. 6 hrs at 320 kbps would give u a file size around 950 meg

i am a bit deaf so others may say diffently

not to point fingers ... an average cd which is an hour worth is about 700 MB. if he wanted 6 hours it would be closer to 4 or 5 gigs.
