Re: Carl Craig

69- Jam the Box is one of my all time favourite techno tracks - however his live DJ sets a a little boring - (however it sbeen at least 5 years since I saw him live)!!

Re: Carl Craig

Looks interesting. Carl Craig by himself is fanastic but when he plays as part of the detroit experiment. He is awful. Don't waste your money or time to go see him then. I seen him a couple of yrs ago at movement in detroit when he was playing as the detroit experiment it was horrible. The only good thing was that it was free to see him. That is it, we left 20 minutes into there set.

Re: Carl Craig

NICE Fabric cover, I must say. I've been consistently impressed by their graphic design work on those. I'm eager to see how the next six FABRICLIVEs are going to look. That brings to mind a thread I should start...

Re: Carl Craig

yeah they have some cool as hell designs, personally i wasnt a huge fan of the designs for 19-24, but mostly the covers rule. the posters for their clubnights too

Re: Carl Craig

I loved the work on Fabrics 13-18, and absolutely loved the Fabriclive 19-24 covers. The Scratch Perverts' FL.22 cover is my favorite of all-time. There's something so aggressive about it that perfectly matches that mix. Well, the promo mix more so - because it's a bit more immediate - but both.

Any chance you might have the Diplo - FABRICLIVE 25 cover on hand?

Re: Carl Craig

BEAUTIFUL. Thanks, man. I think that Diplo one might beat Scratch Perverts'. I don't know how I feel about the overall design for the next FABRICLIVEs, though, starting with High Contrast's. It looks like they just phoned that one in: 50s girl + helicopter = vague pastiche graphics work. Meh.

On a separate note, any chance you know who's following up with the Fabrics and FABRICLIVEs after High Contrast in December? I'd personally love to see Phil K get a FABRICLIVE. In fact, I think he's the one breaks DJ who could cross into having a 'classy' Fabric outing, he's that talented. The man is a genius.

Re: Carl Craig

plump djs and stanton warriors are on board for fabriclives, but not official which ones they will do

upcoming fabrics include tiefschwarz and ricardo villalobos (my most anticipated besides CC)

#479298Post 15 of 24

Re: Carl Craig

Oh shit - Plumps again, that's the first Fabric repeater I've heard of. I love em to death, but GIVE IT TO PHIL K. Jeez. I've got a bit of a rubbery one for Tiefschwarz's, but I have to admit I haven't even gotten my feet wet as far as techno's concerned. Does Adam Beyer count? I liked his Fabric a lot. Looking forward to Carl Craig's...and wasn't Ricardo Villalobos' supposed to come out like a year ago? I imagine you've been waiting a while for that one.

Re: Carl Craig

And I just got Rob da Bank's in the mail today (Fabricfirst rules). Damn it's fresh. I pretty much hated his promo mix too - but that's happened more than a few times in the past. This mix is just damn danceable. A ton of fun. Heard it yet?

They also sent me a free Tyler Stadius - Fabric 6 for joining. It completely sucks.

#479304Post 17 of 24

Re: Carl Craig

craig richards has done 2 adam beyer plays techno yes, i've been waiting a long time for villalobos :P i like the rob da bank and tyler stadius ones

Re: Carl Craig

yeah forgot about that...Craig Richards AS Tyrant. He's quite the Fabric favorite. While I liked Tyrant and No Shoes No Cake, the Fabric comp (15 I believe) didn't quite do it for me.

and I know Stantons' FABRICLIVE was supposed to come out in December, in lieu of High Contrast's...so I'm guessing that'll be #26.

Damn right, that was an amazing evening. If squarepusher hadnt been so good, Carl Craig would have been the best of the night.

Re: Carl Craig

Aphex Twin set was one of the best aswell.... we cannot not mention Luke Vibert aswell...

will wait patiently !

#479579Post 23 of 24

Re: Carl Craig

Aphex was carnage. I was in a right mess by the time his set started. I rather enjoyed the wrong music afternoon and Richie Hawtin. The only DJ who could have got so many people stomping so hard on the sunday evening?! damn right. He destroyed the place.

Re: Carl Craig
