Will ever do another G.U.??? I mean wtf if sasha can sign a 5 record deal how come the Digweed can't. Is there some kind of riff going like Tenaglia and G.U.??

Re: So do you think Digweed...

To be honnest i think the emergance of the global underground series becoming the most anticipated and highest selling "mixed compilation". they should use it to promote the stars of tommorow and the the new styles of edm . my music collection is full of progressive /chilled and the ones inbetween the best way to enrich the edm scene is to promote variety and new dj's . we can get digweed cattaneo sasha warren kleinenberg howels ect.ect. off the net every week almost . i enjoy my eyes and ears being opened to something new and gu has built up a big enough reputation to do so for alot of people

Re: So do you think Digweed...

I think we will see something from Digweed on GU one day again. They both work well for each other. Maybe Digweed is concentrating on other avenues i.e. his Bedrock label, or some original bedrock artist material.

Don't be surprised if GU sign him up for something

Re: So do you think Digweed...

for a long time the rumour has been that he has had a falling out with the GU guys and wont do anymore. He fulfilled his contract with 019, and think he'd rather do comps of bedrock and make alot more money than if GU is taking a cut.

Agree, I think right now he is focused on releasing stuff on his own label. I would like to see him do a live comp again but I don't it is going to happen anytime soon.

Re: So do you think Digweed...

well he released 2 mix cds this year, im not too worried about him doing another one anytime soon.... and it would be nice if gu pushed some "new" djs, but that isnt what they have done recently... warren, howells (although i liked that one,) deep dish, lavelle... tbh id definately take another digweed one over warren, deep dish, or lavelle for sure.

Re: So do you think Digweed...

One of my favorite GU is Los Angeles and Hong Kong. I think the GU should give an opportunity to other Dj's that are doing good things......

I heard that the follow up os Nick Warren's Shanghai is going to Be Dave Seaman Gu0029 Mexico...does anyone know somethig about this?

Re: So do you think Digweed...

hernan already put out one mix cd this year with Renaissance. I don't think he needs another. Plus he has his weekly TWO hour show. Can't you get enough of him that way?

Re: So do you think Digweed...

perhaps he'll get back top GU later on in life, but he's pretty occupied these days as he has alreadt put out a few comps this year.

i give him 3 years to come back around.

Re: So do you think Digweed...

I would rather GU pick some new DJs. coughhernancough

Re: So do you think Digweed...

For me it all depends on timing, and the quality of the music John that is playing - a dull, plodding electro-filled GU (like the set I heard in March) would not sit to sell alongside his previous 3 releases. Of course his Beruit set would have been a classic GU comp (especially if extended to 4 x discs!).

On the upside, at least he has been playing better records lately - his recent set at Pacha was excellent. Maybe a Renaissance comp would be a more realistic proposition.

NEW DJ??? You've got to be kidding. Hernan has had what two to three Perfecto Compilations, and about 4 Renaissance compilations he's been on.

If we are talking about new dj's, what about those great newer dj's that haven't had a Balance cd out yet, or any other big compilation.

Maybe Terry Grant? There are so many dj's that would love a cd compilation.
