part zero of the promo - really a killer mix, cant get enough of it

I've listened to PARTZERO 4 times now. I just finally got around to throwing in PARTONE and PARTTWO. Mindblowing is all I can say.

I must be the only person that thinks PARTZERO is horrible.

This Four set of mixes is the new hotness.

Very nice stuff. I haven't been too impressed with JZ as of late. His mixes just haven't been as interesting as I'd found him in the past.

But these sets are really a new lease on life for JZ, for me at least.

Zero is really tasty. 1 and 2 aren't the greatest. I'm halfway through 3. We'll see how 4 works out.

Definitely a nice set of music with the mass of choonz available out there these days...

Well, I guess these mixes put a nail in the coffin of the question "is Zabiela one of the greatest right now or not?". These sets prove he is.

To me, not all parts are great, but what?s great about them more than makes up for the not-so-great bits.

Besides, such a variety of styles and tracks are bound to be seen differently by different people.

It?s easy for me to speak about this, because I don?t think I?m a big JZ fan, but I always end up getting or downloading everything he does that I can get my hands on. That says something, I think. So, for me, these mixes are his high-point in a long time. I even think he?s on the right track regarding his usage of FX, and looping, because here they seldom "take over" the mix, and instead are beatifully blended into the flow of the mixes.

So, congrats to JZ on these, and a million thanks to MN and especially ska, for making these available.

P.S. If James ever sees this, I?d like for him to confirm if part ZERO was done on Ableton Live and the other 4 parts with his usual Pioneer CDJ?s and EFX?s. It seems that way, since the ZERO filename is "Zero Rendered", and all files exported in Live get the "rendered" reference.

still actually havent been able to give this a proper listen... listened to part zero at work but had to have it turned down quiet.. will try and give it a listen tonight but its hard with so much other music too... gonna have to burn it
